If your organization needs someone to form public opinion in your favor,
William Kristol is your man. William is the son of Irving Kristol who has
been called the "father of the neoconservative" movement. (1) |
|
William Kristol, chairman of the Project for the New American Century, is
editor of the highly criticised Murdoch publication,
the Weekly Standard. The Standard serves as a sort of
magazine version of FOX"news" and has been sued, debunked, and
earned a general reputation for false and shoddy reporting. (2) Widely
recognized as one of the nation's leading right-wing political analysts
and commentators, Mr. Kristol regularly appears on mainstream public
affairs shows, and is the co-author, with Lawrence Kaplan, of the
best-selling book The War Over Iraq. |
|
Before starting the Weekly Standard in 1995, Mr. Kristol led the Project
for the Republican Future, where he helped shape the strategy that
produced the 1994 Republican congressional victory. Prior to that, Mr.
Kristol served as chief of staff to Vice President and fellow PNAC member Dan
Quayle during the Bush Administration and to Secretary of Education and
fellow PNAC member William Bennett under President Reagan. Before coming
to Washington in 1985, Mr. Kristol taught politics at the University of
Pennsylvania and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. (3) |
|
Bill Kristol was on the Enron advisory board for two years “I
believe,” for what would be a total of $100,000. That makes Kristol the
biggest Enron pundit beneficiary so far. (4) |
|
He was also one of the signatories of the PNAC letter to Bill Clinton
urging him to invade Iraq along with Richard Perle, Donald Rumsfeld, and
Paul Wolfowitz R. (5) |
