Northwest Indiana Coalition Against the Iraq War has raised the funds to put up a billboard on the Indiana Toll Road: "Out of Iraq". It went up on Friday and will be seen by very many travellers over the coarse of the month, and we hope that like-minded people will keep it going - there is the opportunity to donate at www.exitiraq.org.

Thank you. Following is an update I received in an email today.
"Hello Billboard Contributors and Coalition members:
This is to let you know that we've now paid the billboard company for an additional month's rental beginning August 7. Contributions are in hand for an additional month, but we decided it's prudent to pay on a month-to-month basis, just in case a problem arises -- such as vandalism, or objection from the property owner.
The response in the community has been very positive. Most new contributions have come from NW Indiana, though a few have been received from farther afield. Our table at the Miller Beach Art Fair collected lots of small contributions for the billboard. We're still looking for contributions to keep the sign alive for as long as its message is relevant."
