O.K. POAC and pals (lol, sounds like a kiddy show)

Delving into ANOTHER 9/11 coincidence, question.

A brief primer,

The title, The Dog Did Not Bark, is a Sherlock Holmes reference to a big epiphany that he had in the Holmes story, Silver Blaze. In it, he's attempting to solve a murder that took place in a home of a wealthy man. When interviewing all suspects, on of them mentions that the dog should have mad a noise if there was an intruder and lets it slide at that, a funny nothing.

Okay, let's have a look at how the Secret Service reacted when President Bush was informed by Andrew Card that America was under attack:

Video of President Bush's visit to Booker Elementary on 9-11

The fictional Sherlock Holmes solved the crime in "Silver Blaze" by deducing it was the owner of the house who was the criminal. How did he know? Because the dog did not bark. The only person whocould have committed the crime without arousing the dog was someone the dog knew as a friend, the dog's owner.

Inspector Gregory: "Is there any other point to which you would wish to draw my attention?"

Holmes: "To the curious incident of the dog in the night-time."

"The dog did nothing in the night time"

"That was the curious incident," remarked Sherlock Holmes.

From "The Adventure of Silver Blaze" by Arthur Conan Doyle

Now let us turn our Sherlockian logic on 9-11.

Hijacked aircraft were wandering across the eastern half of the country. In theory no-one could have known how many planes had been hijacked. Two planes had crashed into the World Trade Center, Bush was at a publicised photo opportunity at Booker Elementary School, and there is an airport only four miles from this School.

The Sarasota Herald Tribune announced Bush's visit to Booker Elementary on September 8th, giving the 9-11 planners three days to include Bush as a target for a diving jetliner. Nobody could have safely assumed he was not a target.

QUOTE
1913: Congress authorized permanent [Secret Service] protection of the President and the statutory authorization for President-elect protection. [secretsevice.gov]

The Booker Elementary video shows the Secret Service did not rush in to remove the President to a secure location, or at least to the safety of the armored Presidential Limousine. That's their job. That's what they do in the case of a real surprise attack withmany unknowns. They don't do anything else.

But the Secret Service did nothing. The dog did not bark.

Bush defenders try to explain Bush's inaction as his not wanting to upset the children. Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9-11" suggests Bush's inaction was due to his not being told to leave. But Michael Moore fails to follow that line of reasoning through to its logical conclusion; where were the people whose job it is to get the President to a place of safety in event of attack, the people who would have, SHOULD have, pulled Bush out of there, children and public appearances be damned!

The Secret Service did nothing. The dog did not bark.

If the events of 9-11 were truly a surprise to the United States Government then there is no way the Secret Service could have known there wasn't a hijacked or stolen plane heading towards Booker Elementary School that very second.
QUOTE

Three Secret Service agents, a SWAT member, the Marine and Balkwill turned on the television in a nearby front office as United Airlines Flight 175 out of Boston crashed into the south tower.
"We're out of here," the Marine told Balkwill. "Can you get everyone ready?" [Sarasota Herald Tribune]

The Secret Service did nothing. The dog did not bark.

The Secret Service should be in that video, but they are not. It is clear from their inaction that they KNEW FOR A FACT THAT THE PRESIDENT WAS NOT A TARGET OF ONE OF THE HIJACKED PLANES. The intended targets of the planes had to have been known.

The dog did not bark because the criminal was its master.

Quod Erat Demonstradum, the Bush administration was part of the 9-11 plot.

The US Secret Service (SS) and their roll to providing protection

VISION STATEMENT

"Building on a Tradition of Excellence and Meeting the Challenges of the Future."

MISSION STATEMENT

The United States Secret Service is mandated by statute and executive order to carry out two significant missions: protection and criminal investigations. The Secret Service protects the President and Vice President, their families, heads of state, and other designated individuals; investigates threats against these protectees; protects the White House, Vice President's Residence, Foreign Missions, and other buildings within Washington, D.C.; and plans and implements security designs for designated National Special Security Events. The Secret Service also investigates violations of laws relating to counterfeiting of obligations and securities of the United States; financial crimes that include, but are not limited to, access device fraud, financial institution fraud, identity theft, computer fraud; and computer-based attacks on our nation's financial, banking, and telecommunications infrastructure.

PROTECTION

Protective Mission

After the assassination of President William McKinley in 1901, Congress directed the Secret Service to protect the President of the United States. Protection remains the primary mission of the United States Secret Service.

Authorization

Today, the Secret Service is authorized by law to protect:
  • the President, the Vice President, (or other individuals next in order of succession to the Office of the President), the President-elect and Vice President-elect;
  • the immediate families of the above individuals;
  • former Presidents, their spouses for their lifetimes, except when the spouse re-marries. In 1997, Congressional legislation became effective limiting Secret Service protection to former Presidents for a period of not more than 10 years from the date the former President leaves office.
  • children of former presidents until age 16;
  • visiting heads of foreign states or governments and their spouses traveling with them, other distinguished foreign visitors to the United States, and official representatives of the United States performing special missions abroad;
  • major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, and their spouses within 120 days of a general Presidential election.

HOW PROTECTION WORKS

Certain Secret Service protective methods are generally the same for all individuals protected. Permanent protectees, such as the President and the First Lady, have details of special agents assigned to them. Temporary protectees, such as candidates and foreign dignitaries, have details of special agents on temporary assignment from Secret Service field offices.

The Secret Service does not discuss methods or means in any detail, however generally speaking, the advance team surveys each site to be visited. From these surveys, the members determine manpower, equipment, hospitals, and evacuation routes for emergencies. Fire, rescue, and other public service personnel in the community are alerted. A command post is established with full communications facilities. The assistance of the military, federal, state, county, and local law enforcement organizations is a vital part of the entire security operation.

Before the protectee's arrival, the lead advance agent coordinates all law enforcement representatives participating in the visit. Personnel are posted and are alerted to specific problems associated with the visit. Intelligence information is discussed, identification specified, and emergency options outlined. Prior to the arrival of the protectee, checkpoints are established, and access to the secured area is limited.

National Special Security Events

In May of 1998, President Clinton issued Presidential Decision Directive 62. A portion of PDD-62, which is a classified document, deals with the coordination of Federal anti-terrorism and counter-terrorism assets for events of national interest.

In effect, PDD-62 formalized and delineated the roles and responsibilities of federal agencies in the development of security plans for major events. The clarifying of responsibilities serves to focus more clearly the role of each agency and eliminate the duplication of efforts and resources.

When an event is designated a National Special Security Event, the Secret Service assumes its mandated role as the lead agency for the design and implementation of the operational security plan.

The Secret Service has developed a core strategy, the concept of forming partnerships with law enforcement and other security and public safety officials.

The goal of the cooperating federal, state and local agencies is to provide a safe and secure environment for our protectees, other dignitaries, the event participants, and the general public.

Although we cannot discuss the methods and means we utilize to carry out our protective responsibilities, we can say there is a tremendous amount of advance planning and coordination in the areas of venue and motorcade route security, communications, credentialing, and training.

Certainly, we emphasize the importance of prevention and deterrence when we are developing an operational security plan, but we are also prepared to respond tactically to a threat if the situation dictates. As a result, we will employ a number of our specialized units during the course of this event.

The skills utilized by our agents and officers to carry out their protective responsibilities are perishable. As a result, our personnel train on a continuing basis so that each individual remains prepared to respond to any eventuality. Their responses must be immediate, well coordinated, and effective. A variety of training initiatives are conducted to include simulated attacks and medical emergencies, inter-agency tabletop exercises, and field exercises.

National Threat Assessment Center

The Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) was created to provide leadership and guidance to the emerging field of threat assessment. Specifically, NTAC will offer timely, realistic, useful, and effective advice to law enforcement and other professionals and organizations with responsibilities to investigate and/or prevent targeted violence.
Building on a recent operational study of U.S. assassins, attackers, and near-lethal approachers of public officials, NTAC will develop and provide threat assessment training and conduct operational research relevant to public official, workplace, stalking/domestic, and school-based violence. In addition, NTAC will offer its assistance to organizations interested in developing threat assessment programs.

Programs

Insider Threat Study
In collaboration with CERT/CC of Carnegie Mellon University, the Secret Service is developing the Critical Systems Protection Initiative (CSPI). The goal of this program is to develop a refined cyber security prevention and response capability in support of both investigative and protective missions. One important component of the CSPI is the Insider Threat Study, which will analyze the physical and online behavior of insiders prior to and during network compromises. The insider who already has access to systems can potentially be the most dangerous. The U.S. Secret Service foresees the applicability of this program in assisting private industry to evaluate and manage a potential problem before it happens.
More on the Insider Threat Study ...

As part of the Insider Threat Study, the U.S. Secret Service and CERT/CC are conducting an anonymous survey of critical infrastructure sector organizations. The purpose of the survey is to collect information about the current prevalence of insider cases across all critical infrastructure sectors. For more information on the anonymous survey, please visit their Web site: https://www.survey.cert.org/InsiderThreat/

Secret Service Safe School Initiative
As part of its mission to provide leadership and guidance in the prevention of instances of targeted violence, the National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) initiated a data-based research project to examine the incidents of school-based attacks. Since September 1999 NTAC staff have been conducting the Safe School Initiative, an operational study of 37 U.S. school shootings involving 41 perpetrators, that have occurred over the past 25 years.

Factual Events that the MSM doesn't Report about Booker T Elimentary School and President Bush

http://thewebfairy.com/killtown/bush.html

9/11 - Possible terrorist incident against President Bush early in the morning at his hotel resort in Florida.

"At about 6 a.m. Sept. 11, Longboat Key Fire Marshall Carroll Mooneyhan was at the front desk of the Colony Beach & Tennis Resort as Bush prepared for his morning jog. From that vantage point, Mooneyhan overheard a strange exchange between a Colony receptionist and security guard.
A van occupied by men of Middle Eastern descent had pulled up to the Colony stating they had a "poolside" interview with the president, Mooneyhan said. The self-proclaimed reporters then asked for a Secret Service agent by name. Guards from security relayed the request to the receptionist, who had not heard of either the agent or plans for an interview, Mooneyhan said.
The receptionist gave the phone over to a nearby Secret Service agent, who said the same thing — no one knew of an agent by that name or of any poolside interview.
The agent told the occupants of the van to contact the president's public relations office in Washington, D. C., and turned them away from the premises, Mooneyhan said." -
Longboat Observer (09/26/01)

9/11 (8:52 am) - President Bush arrives at Booker Elementary school in Sarasota, FL and is told by his staff that a small, twin-engine plane crashed into the WTC and assumes it's just an accident and thinks the pilot "must have had a heart attack."

"At 8:52 a.m. ET, ABCNEWS' Good Morning America broke in with a special report showing flames coming out of the World Trade Center. At the time, President Bush's motorcade was arriving at the Emma Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Fla., for a planned event..." - ABC (9/14/01)

"As it was arriving, pagers and cell phones alerted White House aides that a plane had hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Bush remembers senior adviser Karl Rove bringing him the news, saying it appeared to be an accident involving a small, twin-engine plane.
Based on what he was told, Bush assumed it was an accident.
"This is pilot error," the president recalled saying. "It's unbelievable that somebody would do this." Conferring with Andrew H. Card Jr., his White House chief of staff, Bush said, "The guy must have had a heart attack." -
Washington Post (01/27/02)

"As it was arriving, pagers and cell phones alerted White House aides that a plane had hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Bush remembers senior adviser Karl Rove bringing him the news, saying it appeared to be an accident involving a small, twin-engine plane." - Washington Post (01/27/02)

9/11 (8:55 am) - President Bush goes into a holding room inside Booker Elementary to speak with National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice who tells him it was a commercial plane that crashed into the WTC.

"At 8:55, before entering the classroom, the President spoke to National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, who was at the White House. She recalled first telling the President it was a twin-engine aircraft-and then a commercial aircraft-that had struck the World Trade Center, adding "that's all we know right now, Mr. President." - 9/11 Commission

9/11 (9:02 am?*) - Even after being told that a commercial plane hit the WTC and apparently never getting in contact with the FAA or NORAD about the previous two hijackings, Bush continues on with his scheduled classroom reading event.

"Mr. Bush was told about the first plane just before sitting down with a class of second graders. He was watching a reading drill when, just after 9 a.m., United Flight 175 exploded into the second tower." - CBS (09/10/03) "Bush stopped to greet the congressmen and school officials, but Card urged him to go inside.
"Mr. President, you really need to take this phone call," Card said.
Brogan followed Bush into a room set aside for the White House staff as the president took the call.
At that point, White House officials believed a small propeller plane had hit the tower. Bush ended the call and walked into Kay Daniels' second-grade classroom.
"Hello, boys and girls," Bush said, shaking hands with the children.
Principal Gwen Rigell was struck by how closely Bush followed the White House script. He sat in a plain padded chair and listened as the children read him a story about a girl and her pet goat." -
St. Petersburg Times (09/08/02)

* See Killtown's "Did Bush see the 2nd WTC plane crash?" which theorizes the Bush entered the classroom reading event after the 2nd plane crash.

9/11 (9:07 am) - Chief of Staff Andrew Card whispers in Bush's hear that a second plane has hit the WTC and that America is under attack and then immediately walks away from the president without waiting for any kind of response and President Bush doesn't look at or even respond to Card after receiving supposedly horrible surprising news.

"Bush is visiting a second-grade class when Card whispers to him that a second plane has struck the
towers. President delays plans to address the tragedy, deciding to get more information first." -

"'A second plane hit the second tower. America is under attack.'
White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card leaned over and whispered these words into President Bush's right ear at 9:07 a.m. September 11." -
Washington Times (10/08/02)

"Card walked away from Bush immediately after delivering the bad news.
``I did not want to have a discussion with the president in front of that audience and in front of those cameras,'' he said." -
Boston Herald (09/08/02)
"White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card leaned over and whispered these words into President Bush's right ear at 9:07 a.m. September 11.
"I looked at him, and that's all he said," Mr. Bush recalled months later, in a series of extensive interviews with The Washington Times in the Oval Office and aboard Air Force One. "Then he left. There was no time for discussion or anything."
White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card had informed the president of the first, seemingly accidental crash just as Mr. Bush arrived at the school. Then, at 9:07, Mr. Card entered the classroom and seized a pause in the reading drill to walk up to Mr. Bush's seat.
"A second plane hit the second tower," he whispered into the president's right ear. "America is under attack." -
Washington Times (10/08/02)

9/11 (9:08 am*) - President Bush picks up a book after he is just told that his country is under attack and begins to read with 2nd graders for 7 to 11 minutes and after finishing the reading lesson, Bush then takes a few questions from the children before he leaves the classroom.

*Time based on video showing Bush picking up a book approx. 45 seconds after Cards finishes whispering into Bush's ear.

"Then, at 9:04 a.m., while Bush met with second-graders, staff chief Andrew H. Card Jr. whispered in his ear that a second plane had struck. Bush's sunny countenance went grim. After Card's whisper, Bush looked distracted and somber but continued to listen to the second-graders read and soon was smiling again. He joked that they read so well, they must be sixth-graders." - September11news.com

"Slowly, Bush picked up his book and read with the students for eight or nine minutes." - Tampa Bay Online (09/01/02) "Bush was reading to a grade-school class in Florida at that moment. Instead of jumping up and leaving, he instead sat in front of the class, with an unfortunate look of confusion, for nearly 11 minutes.
There Bush sits, with no access to his advisers, while New York is being viciously attacked." -
FOX News (06/15/04)

"At the moment the second plane was slamming into the south tower, President Bush was being introduced to the second-graders of Emma E. Booker Elementary in Sarasota, Fla...he soon appeared in the classroom and listened appreciatively as the children went through their reading drill. As he was getting ready to pose for pictures with the teachers and kids, chief of staff Andy Card entered the room, walked over to the President and whispered in his right ear. The President's face became visibly tense and serious. He nodded. Card left and for several minutes the President seemed distracted and somber, but then he resumed his interaction with the class. "Really good readers, whew!" he told them. "These must be sixth-graders!" - Time (9/12/01)

"Bush finished the lesson and even took a few questions from the children. He then excused himself and walked into the adjacent staff room." - St. Petersburg Times (09/08/02)

9/11 (9:31 am) - President Bush is still at the elementary school approx. 25 minutes after being told America's under attack and gives his first speech of the day there at exactly the same time he was scheduled to make a speech at the school.

"9:31 A.M. - President Bush makes a short statement to reporters." - Patriot Resource

"It was just after 9:30 a.m. The president unfolded his hands and straightened three sheets of hand-scrawled notes that he had spread on the podium in the school library. He folded his hands again and looked back up at his audience.
"Today, we've had a national tragedy," Mr. Bush said. -

Remarks by the President After Two Planes Crash Into World Trade Center
Emma Booker Elementary School - Sarasota, Florida 9:30 A.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT: "Ladies and gentlemen, this is a difficult moment for America. I, unfortunately, will be going back to Washington after my remarks. Secretary Rod Paige and the Lt. Governor will take the podium and discuss education. I do want to thank the folks here at Booker Elementary School for their hospitality.
Today we've had a national tragedy. Two airplanes have crashed into the World Trade Center in an apparent terrorist attack on our country. I have spoken to the Vice President, to the Governor of New York, to the Director of the FBI, and have ordered that the full resources of the federal government go to help the victims and their families, and to conduct a full-scale investigation to hunt down and to find those folks who committed this act.
Terrorism against our nation will not stand.
And now if you would join me in a moment of silence. May God bless the victims, their families, and America. Thank you very much." -

"His limousine barreled away toward the city airport at 9:34 a.m." - Washington Times (10/08/02)

"Mr. Bush was reading to a group of schoolchildren at Emma Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Fla., yesterday morning when an aide whispered to him word of the first attack on the World Trade Center.
For some reason, Secret Service agents did not bustle him away. Instead, within minutes, even before the attack on the Pentagon, the President made a statement to reporters, promising 'to hunt down and to find those folks that committed this act. Terrorism against our nation will not stand.'" -
Globe and Mail (09/12/01)

9/11 - The Secret Service received a threatening message that said "Air Force One is next" from someone using 'American code words' suggesting evidence of a mole in the highest levels of the U.S. government.

"A threatening message received by the Secret Service that "Air Force One is next" was relayed to agents accompanying the President. The use of American codewords made the threat credible.
The worry now must be that knowledge of codewords, presidential whereabouts and secret procedures indicates the terrorists may have a mole in the White House or the Secret Service, FBI, FAA or CIA. If so, America's war on terror may well have to start in its own front room." -

WHY DID THE DOG NOT BARK?
Minutes after the motercade pulled away from Booker Elimentary, a THIRD plane struck another building; The Pentagon at 9:37am.

sky of mind
To me in my mind, this dog that didn't bark, is the most glaring possible example that when considering the official explination, something does not add up.

It's this very question that is the most strongest case for independant, even possibly international investigations into the events of 9/11.

Even if you are absolutely against all the other conspiracy theory that swirls in and through every aspect of the events of 9/11, this one situation must raise even those most skeptical eye brows!

The case laid out here in this thread must be addressed, or none of the other conspiracy theories have even a possibility of ever being sufficiently debunked.

Watched the whole video. I wonder sometimes about whether the deer in the headlights reaction by Bush was not just a natural reaction in being unable to comprehend the scope of the tragedy. It happened to Douglas MacArthur in WWII when he had reports the Japanese airforce was on its way and then did nothing for over half a day, allowing hundreds of U.S. fighters to be bombed to pieces sitting on the runway. It happened to Stalin when he heard news that Hitler had invaded and he did nothing for over a week, too shocked to believe such a thing possible.

They did have that school turned into a fortress and it was safe that day from eveything but..............an air attack.

So, it is strange that the Secret Service did little to hustle the President to safety. They did not know if a plane was bearing down on them or not.

At least I think they didn't know.

IF they knew that the President was not a target, then they would have no reason to evacuate his presence at the school. This is the only justification as to their NON-ACTION that day. Other wise, it would be a dereliction of duty not to protect the President.
