Went fishing over the weekend with the wife and in-laws...

we were at Fort Randall, South dakota. You can read about the fort here

Here's some goofball with a walleye that he caught:

And that same goofy lookin' guy also caught a long dead perch, attached to a lure, attached to a stick. It smelled AWESOME!

Well, to be honest, I just did a google search for "severe sunburn swelling" if that tells you anything.

Jake says "You little copier" harsh words from a 7 yr old. Dude!

First he says photoshop mine mom...and I told him I dont know how to.


But he still has you beat on picking up chicks,(no offense Ronnie) this is him at last weekends graduation party:

What American's call walleye, we call "pickeral" in Canada.

Same fish though.

I just know that we NEVER say "walleye." Only "pickeral."

Dont worry man, this is a common problem with "common" names. In many places in the south, they call a magnolia tree a tulip tree. The problem with this, is there is an ACTUAL tulip tree that is NOT a magnolia. So, this is a common issue and shows how/why scientific names are the best!

Up where I grew up my friend and I used to go hunting quail. But everybody calls them partridge. Fact is, there are no partridge up where I lived, but everybody still called them partridge.

Viva scientific nomenclature.
