POAC
paying 5 bucks more for a POAC t-shirt that was 100% organic, sweatshop free, and made in the USA? That would be a whopping 25 bucks per shirt + postage.

They don't come in white, rather "natural". Which is like unbleached canvas color.

Refined with a tailored fit, one of the softest, and smoothest T-shirts in the imprintable market. Perfect for any type of print or embellishment. Our environmentally safe and friendly pre-washed organic cotton is manufactured under strict conditions, resulting in a pesticide, herbicide, and chemical-free product. Please note that the unbleached, natural color of the fabric will reveal the texture and imperfections that bleaches and other treatments typically eliminate.

I tried doing sweatshop free shirts before and nobody bought them. They were 25, or 27 bucks. Everybody wants made in the USA, but nobody wanted to pay the extra cost. I'm thinking about trying again. Whatcha all think?
leftinrightsouth
I think it sounds like a wonderful idea.
Sweatshop free is worth the costs.
POAC
Great! How many can I put you down for?

tongue.gif

Actually, you work for the Project, so you get all the free shirts you want. If I do this, you'll get some prototypes to test out before they go public.

I like the idea a lot,
but when you list them, make extra graphic effort to let everybody understand why they cost more.
Using graphics and text, make it a part of the noble liberal cause to buy these organic shirts that are made in the USA!

Yeah! I pay more, but ya know I'm helping keep a shirt factory in Pioria from going off shore!
28 people in Georga have decient paying factory jobs in the USA because I bought this shirt!

etc etc

Actually, that's a pretty good idea. In fact, that would be a cool little note to add to the graphics of the shirt. What would it take to add a sleeve graphic or even add it under the web address.
POAC
That's a really good idea

That is a bad ass idea. The little I saved American jobs by buying this shirt logo on the side or lower ring of shirt. I would buy some if I ever get a large influx of cash again. For now I am stuck at $5 a month. I would love to raise that aswell.

POAC , do I get a share of the profit from every shirt sold which has my avatar on it? No checks please. laugh.gif By the way, in case anyone is wondering who that is, it is Barlow the vampire from the 1979 Stephen King TV movie, "Salem's Lot". It's one of the scariest movies that I've ever seen.

Nope. Anything uploaded to my server becomes my property. I think that's in the terms of service. If not, I'll add it before I make a sale.

You know, the funny thing is, I've had Made in USA sweatshop free shirts all along...

http://www.oldamericancentury.org/aa.htm

Just nobody bought any. I used to get people emailing me all the time asking for American Apparel. I finally got it added and you know how many I sold after I invested hundreds of bucks in backstock? 1 UNO. 1 measely shirt. Everyone who had written me wanting them backed out. Fuckers.

So here's the deal. Don't buy any from that link. I'll be making a whole new page with organic/sweatshop free shirts and price them at 25. Not 27.50. I'll try to have it done over the weekend. I'm going to break up the store to several pages and add tank tops and maybe postcards and greeting cards and what-not.

Yeah, I already knew that. I was just joking. laugh.gif If you do ever offer t-shirts with Barlow's sweet face on them, I just might use some of the change that's fallen under my sofa cushions to buy me one.

Totally OT, but THE scariest movie of all time is Jack Nicholson's The Shining (not that retard version that came out in the nineties).

The horror movie that still gives me goosebumps and raises the hair on the back of my neck is "The Exorcist". Any movie about Satan creeps me out. "Psycho" with Tony Perkins as Norman Bates also gives me the willies especially during that scene in which Arbogast the detective is climbing the stairs in the house and "Mrs" Bates suddenly attacks him. That's guaranteed to stop my heart every time I see it, ha ha. laugh.gif
wiretapthisDMW
Poltergeist got me the first time I saw it...it had slow creepies & fast startles.
That girl's clown doll really gave me the heebies too...
rcorporon
The two best horror movies ever created are:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the orignial, not the shitty remake)
John Carpenter's The Thing

These two movies are the yardsticks taht I use to measure all other horror flicks.

How about showers and "Psycho"? blink.gif

I was a horny teenager when I saw "Psycho" for the first time in my hometown theater. Seeing Janet Leigh seemingly nude in that shower scene sure got my attention! laugh.gif I stayed and watched the movie twice just so I could see that scene again. Years later I found out that Leigh was wearing skin-colored moleskin that covered all the "good" parts. But the scene sure looked real back then!
