Gator was prolly going into hiding. Reptiles cringe when truth is in presence. Run & hide even...I mean, he reminded me of Bush after Colbert. (though I'd rather be in the ditch w/ the gator than the WH with those reptiles)

not a gator, its a corrogated metal pipe used to continue draiange ditches under driveways, the white around it looks like a concrete pad they pour to keep the pipe in place and prevent erosion.

That seems much more reasonable than having yer random aligator tail just laying about where ever!
Though I was just about to ask if Gaters get run over on Florida's roads much?

Ive seen alot of armadillos splattered, few gators during mating season but they stay in/near the water. A big road hazard down here is the wild hogs some get up to a few hundred pounds. My buddy hit on in his vette, damn car smelled like cooked pork for weeks
