One of my musical dreams came true this week. XM studios in
Washington DC scheduled a taping of Kenny Rankin's performance to be
aired in the near future on XM satellite radio and only 26 guest where invited.
Kenny Rankin is a distinctive guitarist and, above all, a world-class singer
possessing an uncanny ability to cut straight to a song's emotional heart.
One of the things I love about Kenny is how he can make another artist's
song his own. As we were waiting in the lobby to be seated for the show
Kenny came out and I couldn't help but to engage him. My guest was a
beautiful young lady named Marie, so I asked him if he would play 'Marie'
a Randy Newman' composition. That song has always been special and
meaningful to us. To my surprise he turned to the producer and said...
let's work this in. WOW, he even mentioned the request on stage.
It was truly a wonderful experience!

So here are three beautiful songs~
