AIN'T NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH GAYE MARVIN AINT NO MOUNTAIN HIGH ENOUGH
Listen Baby...
Ain't no mountain high
Ain't no valley low
Ain't no river wide enough baby
If you need me call me
no matter where you are
no matter how far (don't worry baby)
just call my name
I'll be there in a hurry
you don't have to worry
chorus:
'Cause baby there
Ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you babe
Remember the day
I set you free
I told you you could always count on me darling
From that day on
I made a vow
I'll be there when you want me
some way somehow
Chorus
Oh no darling (no wind, no rain)
All winter's cold can't stop me baby
naw naw baby
(if you're ever in trouble
I'll be there on the double
just sing for me)
ooo baby
My love is alive
Way down in my heart
Although we are miles apart
If you ever need a helping hand
I'll be there on the double
just as fast as I can

my favorite short song from one of my favorite movies... babe
If I had words to make a day for you,
I'd give you a morning golden and true.
I would make this day last for all time,
Then fill the night deep in moonshine.

Both Sides Now By Judy Collins
You can listen to it here:
http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/clickit/...dia/COL_BSN.MOVBows and flows of angel hair
And ice cream castles in the air
And feather canyons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way
But now they only block the sun
They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way
I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down and still somehow
It's cloud's illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all
Moons and Junes and ferris wheels
The dizzy dancing way you feel
When every fairy tale comes real
I've looked at love that way
But now it's just another show
You leave 'em laughin when you go
And if you care don't let them know
Don't give yourself away
I've looked at love from both sides now
From win and lose and still somehow
It's love's illusions I recall
I really don't know love at all
Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say, "I love you" right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus crowds
I've looked at life that way
But now old friends are acting strange
They shake their heads, they say I've changed
But something's lost but something's gained
In living every day
I've looked at life from both sides now
From give and take and still somehow
It's life's illusions I recall
I really don't know life at all

"Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm Of The War Drums"by A Perfect CircleDon't fret precious I'm here, step away from the window
Go back to sleep
Safe from pain and truth and choice and other poison devils,
See, they don't give a fuck about you, like I do.
Count the bodies like sheep
Count the bodies like sheep
Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums
Count the bodies like sheep
Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep
Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums
Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep
Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums

I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and your choices son

Rich Man’s War
by Steve Earle
From the album "The Revolution Starts Now"
Jimmy joined the army ‘cause he had no place to go
There ain’t nobody hirin’
‘round here since all the jobs went
down to Mexico
Reckoned that he’d learn himself a trade maybe see the world
Move to the city someday and marry a black haired girl
Somebody somewhere had another plan
Now he’s got a rifle in his hand
Rollin’ into Baghdad wonderin’ how he got this far
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man’s war
Bobby had an eagle and a flag tattooed on his arm
Red white and blue to the bone when he landed in Kandahar
Left behind a pretty young wife and a baby girl
A stack of overdue bills and went off to save the world
Been a year now and he’s still there
Chasin’ ghosts in the thin dry air
Meanwhile back at home the finance company took his car
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man’s war
When will we ever learn
When will we ever see
We stand up and take our turn
And keep tellin’ ourselves we’re free
Ali was the second son of a second son
Grew up in Gaza throwing bottles and rocks when the tanks would come
Ain’t nothin’ else to do around here just a game children play
Somethin’ ‘bout livin’ in fear all your life makes you hard that way
He answered when he got the call
Wrapped himself in death and praised Allah
A fat man in a new Mercedes drove him to the door
Just another poor boy off to fight a rich man’s war

Hello Jayhawk!
It took me a little while to figure out who you were referring to...FZ, aha...Frank Zappa And The Mothers Of Invention!
It's fine by me and I don't know why anyone else would object.
I think this is a thread for everyone about ANY songs, period.

Yes, I know the Muffin Man. He lives on Drury Lane.

I was a young lad when Absolutely Free came out. Mom bought it 'cause *she thought* my cousin was with the band. He wasn't....at the time. The lyrics make more sense today than they did then. Judge for yourself.

Plastic People by Frank Zappa
Ladies and Gentlemen...
The President of the United States!
*"Fella Americans...Doot, Doot, Doot..."*
He's been sick!--Doot! Doot!
And I think his wife is gonna bring him
Some chicken soap
Plastic people!
Oh, baby, now you're such a drag
I know it's hard to defend an unpopular policy
Every once in a while--
Plastic people!
Oh, baby, now you're such a drag
And there's this guy from the CIA he's creepin'
Around Laurel Canyon
A fine little girl She waits for me
She's as plastic as she can be
She paints her face With plastic goo
And wrecks her hair With some shampoo
Plastic people
Oh, baby, now you're such a drag
"I dunno...sometimes I just get tired
Of ya honey--it's...ah..your
Hair spray...or something..."
Plastic people
Oh, baby, now you're such a drag
"I hear the sound of marching feet...
down Sunset Boulevard to Crescent Heights
...and there...at Pandora's box...
We are confronted with...a vast
Quantity of...Plastic people..."
Take a day and walk around
Watch the Nazi's Run your town
Then go home and check yourself
You think we're singing
'Bout someone else
But you're Plastic people
Oh, Baby, now
You're such a drag
Me see a neon Moon above
I searched for years I found no love
I'm sure that love Will never be
A product of Plasticity
A product of Plasticity
PLASTIC, PLASTIC PEOPLE--PLA-HA-HA-HA
HA-PLASTIC--You are--your foot--your hair
--your nose--your arms--you suck--you love
--you are--your being is--you're plastic--blah
--blah--blah--blah plastic Peoples
-A prune is not a vegetable
--cabbage is a vegetable; makes it O.K.
--plastic people--plastic People
--you dream about...you think about...you eat
...you are...Ooo-Hoo-Hoo...
purple prancing--plastic People-
Pee-Pee-Pee-Pee-Pee-Peep!

and here Absolutely Free - Frank Zappa
Discorporate & come with me
Shifting; drifting
Cloudless; starless
VELVET VALLEYS & A SAPPHIRE SEA: Wah Wah
Unbind your mind
There is no time
To lick your stamps
And paste them in
DISCORPORATE
And we will begin... WAH WAH!
Diamonds on velvets on goldens on vixen
On comet & cupid on donner & blitzen
On up & away & afar & a go-go
Escape from the weight of your corporate
logo!
UNBIND YOU MIND
THERE IS NO TIME
Boin-n-n-n-n-n-g
TO LICK YOUR STAMPS
AND PASTE THEM IN
DISCORPORATE
AND WE'LL BEGIN
FREEDOM! FREEDOM!
KINDLY LOVING!
YOU'LL BE ABSOLUTELY FREE
ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BE
Dreaming on cushions of velvet & satin
To music by magic by people that happen
To enter the world of a strange purple Jello
The dreams as they live them are all mellow yellow
UNBIND YOU MIND
THERE IS NO TIME
Boin-n-n-n-n-n-g
TO LICK YOUR STAMPS

Concentration Moon - Frank Zappa

Concentration moon
Over the camp in the valley
Concentration moon
Wish I was back in the alley
With all of my friends,
Still running free:
Hair growing out
Every hole in me
American way
How did it start?
Thousands of creeps
Killed in the park
American way
Try and explain
Scab of a nation
Driven insane
Dont cry
Gotta go bye bye
Suddenly: die die
Cop kill a creep!
Pow pow pow
Concentration moon
Over the camp in the valley
Concentration moon
Wish I was back in the alley
With all of my friends,
Still running free:
Hair growing out
Every hole in me
American way
Threatened by us
Drag a few creeps
Away in a bus
American way
Prisoner: lock
Smash every creep
In the face with a rock
Dont cry
Gotta go bye bye
Suddenly: die die
Cop kill a creep!
Pow pow pow

One of my fav verses from one of my fav songs by my fav band of all time... the one, the only...
Grateful Dead...
Wind in the willow’s playin’ tea for two;
The sky was yellow and the sun was blue,
Strangers stoppin’ strangers just to shake their hand,
Everybody’s playing in the heart of gold band, heart of gold band.

Everybody Hurts
By REM
http://www.dogpile.com/info.dogpl/clickit/...rts%20(REM).mp3When your day is long and the night
The night is yours alone
When you're sure you've had enough of this life
Well hang on
Don't let yourself go, 'cause everybody cries
and everybody hurts, sometimes ...
Sometimes everything is wrong,
Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go (hold on)
If you think you've had too much of this life
Well hang on
'Cause everybody hurts
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts
Don't throw your hand, oh no
Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone
no, no, no, you're not alone
If you're on your own in this life
The days and nights are long
When you think you've had too much
of this life, to hang on
Well everybody hurts,
sometimes, everybody cries,
And everybody hurts ...
sometimes
But everybody hurts sometimes
So hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on,
hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts
You're not alone

In Your Wildest Dreams
by The Moody Blues
http://www.angelfire.com/on3/oceanangel/MO...ceuponatime.wavOnce upon a time
Once when you were mine
I remember skies
Reflected in your eyes
I wonder where you are
I wonder if you think about me
Once upon a time
In your wildest dreams
Once the world was new
Our bodies felt the morning dew
That greets the brand new day
We couldn't tear ourselves away
I wonder if you care
I wonder if you still remember
Once upon a time
In your wildest dreams
And when the music plays
And when the words are touched with sorrow
When the music plays
I hear the sound I had to follow
Once upon a time
Once beneath the stars
The universe was ours
Love was all we knew
And all I knew was you
I wonder if you know
I wonder if you think about it
Once upon a time
In your wildest dreams
And when the music plays
And when the words are touched with sorrow
When the music plays
And when the music plays
I hear the sound I had to follow
Once upon a time
Once upon a time
Once when you were mine
I remember skies
Mirrored in your eyes
I wonder where you are
I wonder if you think about me
Once upon a time
In your wildest dreams
In your wildest dreams
In your wildest dreams

Home to Houston
Steve Earle
from the album: The Revolution Starts Now
When I pulled out of Basra they all wished me luck
Just like they always did before
With a bulletproof screen on the hood of my truck
And a Bradley on my back door
I wound her up and shifted her down
And I offered this prayer to my lord
I said “God get me back home to Houston alive
and I won’t drive a truck anymore”
Early in the mornin’ and I’m rollin’ fast
Haulin’ nine thousand gallons of high test gas
Sergeant on the radio hollerin’ at me
Look out up ahead here come a R.P.G.
If I ever get home to Houston alive
Then I won’t drive a truck anymore
I’ve driven the big rigs for all of my life
And my radio handle’s “Train”
Down steep mountain roads on the darkest of nights
I had ice water in my veins
And I come over here ‘cause I just didn’t care
Now I’m older and wiser by far
If I ever get home to Houston alive
Then I won’t drive a truck anymore
Great God A’mighty what was wrong with me
I know the money’s good but buddy can’t you see
You can’t take it with you and that ain’t no lie
I don’t wanna let ‘em get me I’m too young to die
If I ever get home to Houston alive
Then I won’t drive a truck anymore

http://www.geocities.com/wavsus123/policef...ndyourheart.wavFortress Around Your Heart
By Sting
Under the ruins of a walled city
Crumbling towers in beams of yellow light
No flags of truce, no cries of pity
the siege guns had been pounding through the night
It took a day to build the city
We walked through its streets in the afternoon
As I returned across the fields I'd known
I recognized the walls that I once made
Had to stop in my tracks for fear
Of walking on the mines I'd laid
And if I built this fortress around your heart
Encircled you in trenches and barbed wire
Then let me build a bridge, for I cannot fill the chasm
And let me set the battlements on fire
Then I went off to fight some battle
That I'd invented inside my head
Away so long for years and years
You probably thought or even wished that I was dead
While the armies are all sleeping
Beneath that tattered flag we'd made
I had to stop in my tracks for fear
Of walking on the mines I'd laid
And if I built this fortress around your heart
Encircled you in trenches and barbed wire
Then let me build a bridge, for I cannot fill the chasm
And let me set the battlements on fire
The prison has now become your home
a sentence you seem prepared to pay
It took a day to build the city
We walked through its streets in the afternoon
As I returned across the lands I'd known
I recognized the fields where I once played
I had to stop in my tracks for fear
Of walking on the mines I'd laid
And if I built this fortress around your heart
Encircled you in trenches and barbed wire
Then let me build a bridge, for I cannot fill the chasm
And let me set the battlements on fire

Fair Exchange
(Kerry Livgren)
Your credit is good if you're a member
Just a token to help the people remember
All we've done for you
Nobody buys and nobody sells
And nobody speaks 'til the chairman tells you
We're gonna be your religion, throw those others away
(Chorus)
Fair exchange for your freedom
Fair exchange for your life
Hail the new perfect order
Ending trouble and strife
No one can refuse our offer, it's a fair exchange
You're on file, our computer
Knows what's best for you
We will provide the solution, for the rest of you
Safety and peace, the terror will cease
Forget everything the fanatics tell you
Now you can worship the leader
All he wants is your soul
(Chorus)
We're under control, never worry
Always watching you
Now you're a part of the program
We'll be using you
What do you want? We know what you need
Get out of line, we eliminate you
All for the good of the people
Better one man should die

In honor of the holiday and for those of us who have ancestors that traveled to this country searching for a new life, a new beginning, I'm posting this song. You can also listen to other patriotic songs via this web site, if anyone is interested.
Happy 4th Of July to everyone!
http://www.scubanaked.com/patriotic.htmlComing To AmericaBy Neil Diamond
FAR, we've been travelin in FAR
Without a home, But not without a star
Free, only one can be free
We huddle close, and hang on to a dream
On the boats and on the planes, They're coming to America
Never looking back again, They're coming to America
Home...though it seems so far away
And we'll travel in the light today,
in the eye of the storm...in the eye of the storm
Home...to a new and a shiny place
Make our beds and we'll say our grace
Freedoms light burnng warm, freedoms light burning warm
Everywhere around the world, they're coming to America
Every time that flags unfurled, they're coming to America
Got a dream to take them there, they're coming to America
Got a dream they come to share, they're coming to America
4x:
They're coming to America

(Kerry Livgren)
Virgin land of forest green, dark and stormy plains, here all life abounds
Sunlit valley, mountain fields, unseen in the rain, here all life abounds
No man rules this land, no human hand has soiled this paradise
Waiting patiently, so much to see, so rich in Earth's delights
Painted desert, sequined sky, stars that fill the night, here all life abounds
Rivers flowing to the sea, sunshine pure and bright, here all life abounds
No man rules this land, no human hand has soiled this paradise
Waiting patiently, so much to see, so rich in Earth's delights
So the maiden lies in waiting, for the sails to reach the shore
Land of beauty and abundance, innocent, you opened wide your door
Wanderers found the waiting treasure, full of gifts beyond their measure
Milk and honey for our pleasure.....
Across the sea there came a multitude, sailing ships upon the wave
Filled with visions of Utopia, and the freedom that they crave
Ravage, plunder, see no wonder, rape and kill and tear asunder
Chop the forest, plow it under.....
Highways scar the mountainsides, buildings to the sky, people all around
Houses stand in endless rows, sea to shining sea, people all around
So we rule this land, and here we stand upon our paradise,
Dreaming of a place, our weary race is ready to arise.

Guns (are for pussies)
Music: Sexton; Lyrics: Hexum/Martinez
Here comes the thunder down under
We're natural wonders
Night falls when we leave all you feel is the hunger
Suprises people of all shapes and sizes
Dig on the decade and realize it's all funkay
No matter this rude boy still got that swagger
My ears have heard all these crews but we're badder
Interracial, special, positive beings
I am i be a cool awakening
It's gettin hectic the metrics the body electric
Everybody in worn out blue jeans or tacky dresses
This is the city we've reached we've come to
Go unrecognized on the corner or make moves
All the lights are red all the poets dead
A familiar nightmare appears in my head
Times are changin' myself i'm rearrangin'
Dream eight-thousand-five-twelve blazin'
Born to act out, born to act out
Paranoid with a gat
Born to act out, born to act out
Think you know where it's at
Born to act out, born to act out
But you're lookin' like a sissie
Born to act out, born to act out
Guns are for pussies
I'm not from philly but some say i'm blunt
That's just the way i am and i'm not going to front
And yes i took a trip to find out about the ways of big
City seedy bars and drugs that make you feel shitty
Pretty older women in skirts conversation frisky
Stinking cigarettes and plenty of bourbon whiskey
Sad classic music on the jukebox of doom
Hollywood blvd. barfly frolic room
Tomb of lost souls some beyond salvage
Some just having fun opening steam valvage
I was one becoming the other hellbent to discover
Had to pull up the reigns or else smother
Take it brother all the way and then you're scared
Don't want to be unprepared
You're getting paranoid
And then guns are shared
You guys think that you're hard
But you're in fear of being harmed
I fear no man and i'm unarmed
Born to act out, born to act out
Paranoid with a gat
Born to act out, born to act out
Think you know where it's at
Born to act out, born to act out
But you're lookin' like a sissie
Born to act out, born to act out
Guns are for pussies

Free, as a bird
It's the next best thing to be
Free as a bird
Home, home and dry
Like a homing bird I'll fly
Like a bird on wing
Whatever happened to
the life that we once knew
Can we really live without each other
When did we lose the touch
That seemed to mean so much
It always made me feel so
Free, as a bird
It's the next best thing to be
Free as a bird
Home, home and dry
Like a homing bird I'll fly
Like a bird on wing
Whatever happened to
the life that we once knew
Always made me feel so
Free
Free, as a bird
It's the next best thing to be
Free as a bird
Free as a bird
Free as a bird
Free...

Comfortably Numb
(dedicated to Rush Limbaugh)
Hello, hello, hello
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
Come on, come on down,
I hear you’re feeling down.
Well I can ease your pain,
Get you on your feet again.
Relax, relax, relax
I need some information first.
Just the basic facts.
Can you show me where it hurts?
There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move, but I can’t hear what you’re saying.
When I was a child, I had a fever.
My hands felt just like two balloons.
Now I’ve got that feeling once again.
I can’t explain, you would not understand.
This is not how I am.
I have become comfortably numb.
[guitar solo]
I have become comfortably numb.
OK, OK, OK
Just a little pin prick.
There’ll be no more, aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh,
But you may feel a little sick.
Can you stand up, stand up, stand up.
I do believe it's working good.
That’ll keep you going for the show.
Come on, it’s time to go.
There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ship's smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves.
Your lips move, but I can’t hear what you’re saying.
When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look, but it was gone.
I cannot put my finger on it now.
The child has grown, the dream is gone.
I have become comfortably numb.

I found this at another site but thought it was nice enough that I'd like to share it with you. It's a video with the song, hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/Nomad667/Imagine.htmImagineBy John Lennon
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You...you may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You...you may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Time to throw in a little bad ass rock-n-roll blues.....

Walk on WaterWell I been actin like a crazy man,
Livin my life as fast as I can,
Now I gotta slow down, time to step up,
I had nine lives now I'm outta luck.
All the people who care 'bout me
been wonderin' what is wrong you see.
I been stuck on go, goin' with the flow,
When an old mans words put me in the know.
He said I never met a man who could walk on water,
I tried a few times and sunk to the bottom.
Come on son take me by the hand
and I'll show you how to be a better man!
LET THE TRUTH, SET YOU FREE!Well in my day I hit a few bottoms,
Workin my way through a JD bottle,
I picked my pride up off the floor
so many times I couldn't find it no more.
I got so tired livin' that way.
That old man said boy clean up your act.
You can do it son, you're better than that!
He said I never met a man who could walk on water,
I tried a few times and sunk to the bottom.
Come on son take me by the hand
and I'll show you how to be a better man!
LET THE TRUTH SET YOU FREE!Well I'm so thankful for that old mans words,
Plain and simple he gave me the cure.
He said dust off your boots, get back in the saddle,
strap on your guns and join the battle.
He said I never met a man who could walk on water,
I tried a few times and sunk to the bottom.
Come on son take me by the hand
and I'll show you how to be a better man!
He said I never met a man who could walk on water,
I tried a few times and sunk to the bottom.
Come on son take me by the hand
and I'll show you how to be a better man!

GREEN DAY
"American Idiot"
Don't wanna be an American idiot.
Don't want a nation under the new mania.
And can you hear the sound of hysteria?
The subliminal mind fuck America.
Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alienation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.
Well maybe I'm the faggot America.
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda.
Now everybody do the propaganda.
And sing along in the age of paranoia.
Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alienation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.
Don't wanna be an American idiot.
One nation controlled by the media.
Information age of hysteria.
It's calling out to idiot America.
Welcome to a new kind of tension.
All across the alienation.
Everything isn't meant to be okay.
Television dreams of tomorrow.
We're not the ones who're meant to follow.
For that's enough to argue.

JUST GIVE ME SOME TRUTH
By John Lennon
i'm sick and tired of hearing
things
from uptight-short sighted-
narrow minded hypocritics
all i want is the truth
just give me some truth
i've had enough of reading
things
by nuerotic-pyschotic-
pig headed politicians
all i want is the truth
just give me some truth
no short haired-yellow bellied
son of tricky dicky
is gonna mother hubbard
soft soap me
with just a pocketful of hope
money for dope
money for rope
i'm sick to death of seeing
things
from tight lipped-
condescending -mommies little
chauvinists
all i want is the truth
just give me some truth
i've had enough of watching
scenes
of schizophrenic - ego - centric
- paranoic - prima - donnas
all i want is the truth
just give me some truth

Symphony of Destruction
by Megadeth
You take a mortal man,
And put him in control
Watch him become a god,
Watch peoples heads a'roll
A'roll, A'roooooooollll
(Chorus)
Just like the Pied Piper
Led rats through the streets
We dance like marionettes,
Swaying to the Symphony
Of Destruction
Acting like a robot,
Its metal brain corrodes
You try to take its pulse,
Before the head explodes
Explodes, exploooodes
(Chorus x2)
Solo - Marty
The earth starts to rumble
World powers fall
A'warring for the heavens,
A peaceful man stands tall
Tall, taaaaaaalll
(Chorus x2)

Down Rodeo
by Rage Against The Machine
Yeah I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
Since their grandparents bought one
So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
Since their grandparents bought one
So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
Bangin' this bolo tight on this solo flight can't fight alone
Funk tha track my verbs fly like tha family stone
Tha pen devils set that stage for tha war at home
Locked wit out a wage ya standin' in tha drop zone
The clockers born starin' at an empty plate
Momma's torn hands cover her sunken face
We hungry but them belly full
The structure is set ya neva change it with a ballot pull
In tha ruins there's a network for tha toxic rock
School yard ta precinct, suburb ta project block
Bosses broke south for new flesh and a factory floor
The remains left chained to the powder war
Can't waste a day when the night brings a hearse
So make a move and plead the fifth 'cause ya can't plead the first
Can't waste a day when the night brings a hearse
So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
Since their grandparents bought one
Yes I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
Since their grandparents bought one
So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
Bare witness to tha sickest shot while suckas get romantic
They ain't gonna send us campin' like they did my man Fred Hampton
Still we lampin' still clockin' dirt for our sweat
A ballots dead so a bullet's what I get
A thousand years they had tha tools
We should be takin' 'em
Fuck tha G-ride I want the machines that are makin' em
Our target straight wit a room full of armed pawn to
Off tha kings out tha west side at dawn
Can't waste a day when the night brings a hearse
Make a move and plead the fifth 'cause ya can't plead the first
Can't waste a day when the night brings a hearse
So now I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
Since their grandparents bought one
Yeah I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
These people ain't seen a brown skin man
Since their grandparents bought one
Yeah I'm rollin' down Rodeo wit a shotgun
The rungs torn from the ladder can't reach the tumour
One god, one market, one truth, one consumer
Just a quiet peaceful dance!
Just a quiet peaceful dance!
Just a quiet peaceful dance!
Just a quiet peaceful dance!
Just a quiet peaceful dance for the things we'll never have
Just a quiet peaceful dance for the things we don't have

Sorry for three posts in a row but....
War Pigs(Luke's Wall)
by Black Sabbath
Gen'rals gathered in their masses,
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction,
Sorcerer of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning,
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind,
Poisoning their brainwashed minds
Oh Lord Yeah!
Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave thier role to the poor, yeah
Time will tell on their empower minds,
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
Wait 'til their judgement day comes, yeah
Now in darkness world stops turning,
Ashes were the bodies burning
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees the War Pigs crawling,
Begging mercies for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings
Oh Lord Yeah!

One more.
Disposable Heroes
by Metallica
Bodies fill the fields I see, hungry heroes end
No one to play soldier now, no one to pretend
running blind through killing fields, bred to kill them all
Victim of what said should be
a servant `til I fall
Soldier boy, made of clay
now an empty shell
twenty one, only son
but he served us well
Bred to kill, not to care
do just as we say
finished here, Greeting Death
he's yours to take away
Back to the front
you will do what I say, when I say
Back to the front
you will die when I say, you must die
Back to the front
you coward
you servant
you blindman
Barking of machinegun fire, does nothing to me now
sounding of the clock that ticks, get used to it somehow
More a man, more stripes you bear, glory seeker trends
bodies fill the fields I see
the slaughter never ends
Soldier boy, made of clay
now an empty shell
twenty one, only son
but he served us well
Bred to kill, not to care
do just as we say
finished here, Greeting Death
he's yours to take away
Back to the front
you will do what I say, when I say
Back to the front
you will die when I say, you must die
Back to the front
you coward
you servant
you blindman
Why, Am I dying?
Kill, have no fear
Lie, live off lying
Hell, Hell is here
I was born for dying
Life planned out before my birth, nothing could I say
had no chance to see myself, moulded day by day
Looking back I realize, nothing have I done
left to die with only friend
Alone I clench my gun
Soldier boy, made of clay
now an empty shell
twenty one, only son
but he served us well
Bred to kill, not to care
do just as we say
finished here, Greeting Death
he's yours to take away
Back to the front
you will do what I say, when I say
Back to the front
you will die when I say, you must die
Back to the front
you coward
you servant
you blindman
Back to the front.

And Your Bird Can Sing Beatles
John comments on the Butcher Cover: http://www.eskimo.com/~bpentium/johnbc.wavListen to the entire song:And Your Bird Can SingYou say you've got everything you want
And your bird can sing
But you don't get me
you don't get me
You say you've seen the seven wonders
And you bird is green
But you can't see me
you can't see me
When your prized possessions
start to weigh you down
Look in my direction
I'll be round, I'll be round
When your bird is broken
will it bring you down
You may be awoken
I'll be round, I'll be round
You tell me that you've heard every sound there is
And your bird can swing
But you can't hear me
You can't hear me

My mother wouldn't let me see them at Shea Stadium....she said I was too young and that I would be trampled to death by all those big screaming girls.
I'll never forgive her.
I let my kids listen to whatever they wanted (after I'd indoctrinated them with 60s and 70s music)... I never censored anything. Stand outside most schools when the dismissal bell rings and you hear all the words their parents think they don't know.
That damn
"looking for my leopard" has been swimming around in my head since last night. Hahahaha.

stretched by fewer
Thoughts that leave me
Chasing after
My dreams disown me
Loaded with danger
Maybe I'll win
Saved by Zero
Holding onto
Words that teach me
I will conquer
Space around me
Maybe I'll win

What About Me Quicksilver Messenger Service
Listen to the entire song:http://www.thencamebronson.tv/images/Quick...at_About_Me.mp3
You poisoned my sweet water.
You cut down my green trees.
The food you fed my children
Was the cause of their disease.
My world is slowly fallin' down
And the airs not good to breathe.
And those of us who care enough,
We have to do something.......
(Chorus)
Oh.......oh What you gonna do about me?
Oh.......oh What you gonna do about me?
Your newspapers,
They just put you on.
They never tell you
The whole story.
They just put your
Young ideas down.
I was wonderin' could this be the end
Of your pride and glory?
(Chorus)
I work in your factory.
I study in your schools.
I fill your penitentiaries.
And your military too!
And I feel the future trembling,
As the word is passed around.
"If you stand up for what you do believe,
Be prepared to be shot down."
(Chorus)
And I feel like a stranger
In the land where I was born
And I live like an outlaw.
An' I'm always on the run..........................
An Im always getting busted
And I got to take a stand........
I believe the revolution
Must be mighty close at hand.......................
(Chorus)
I smoke marijuana
But I cant get behind your wars.
And most of what I do believe
Is against most of your laws
I'm a fugitive from injustice
But I'm goin' to be free.
Cause your rules and regulations
They dont do the thing for me
(Chorus)
And I feel like a stranger
In the land where I was born
And I live just like an outlaw.
An' I'm always on the run.

Mosh
by Eminem
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it stands
One nation under God
[People It feels so good to be back..]
Scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel, reenergize, and rewind
I give sight to the blind, mind sight through the mind
I excercise my right to express when I feel it's time
It's just all in your mind, what you interpret it as
I say to fight you take it as I’m gonna whip someone's ass
If you don't understand don't even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi task
And juggling both, perhaps mastered his craft slash
Entrepreneur who has held long too few more rap acts
Who has had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical manure moving past that
Mister kiss his ass crack, he's a class act
Rubber band man, yea he just snaps back
Come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won't stear you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors
To the people up top, on the side and the middle,
Come together, let's all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people, some white and some black
Don't matter what color, all that matters is we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain't gonna stop us, they can't, we're stronger now more then ever,
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go,
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, push up, mush, fuck Bush, until they bring our troops home come on just . . .
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors, come on
Imagine it pouring, it's raining down on us,
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone's trying to tell us something, maybe this is God just saying
we're responsible for this monster, this coward, that we have empowered
This is Bin Laden, look at his head nodding,
How could we allow something like this, Without pumping our fist
Now this is our, final hour
Let me be the voice, and your strength, and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme, just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply it by six
Ten million people are equal of this high pitch
Maybe we can reach Al Quaida through my speech
Let the President answer on high anarchy
Strap him with AK-47, let him go
Fight his own war, let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our soil
No more psychological warfare to trick us to think that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country we're patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes, it's all lies, the stars and stripes
They've been swiped, washed out and wiped,
And Replaced with his own face, mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you'll know why, because I told you to fight
So come along, follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark, that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength,
Come with me, and I won't stear you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
Till the light, at the end, of the tunnel, we gonna fight,
We gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march through the swamp
We gonna mosh through the marsh, take us right through the doors
[Eminem speaking angrily]
And as we proceed, to mosh through this desert storm, in these closing statements,
if they should argue, let us beg to differ, as we set aside our differences,
and assemble our own army, to disarm this weapon of mass destruction
that we call our president, for the present,
and mosh for the future of our next generation,
to speak and be heard, Mr. President, Mr. Senator

Listen to the entire song:http://main.sliberty.com:88/whywait/Songs/...hey_bulldog.mp3Sheepdog, standing in the rain
Bullfrog, doing it again
Some kind of happiness is
measured out in miles
What makes you think you're
something special when you smile
Childlike no one understands
Jackknife in your sweaty hands
Some kind of innocence is
measured out in years
You don't know what it's like
to listen to your fears
You can talk to me
If you're lonely, you can talk to me
Big man walking in the park
Wigwam frightened of the dark
Some kind of solitude is
measured out in you
You think you know me, but you haven't got a clue
You can talk to me
If you're lonely, you can talk to me
Hey –ey
Hey, Bulldog (Hey Bulldog)
Hey, Bulldog
Hey man
Whatsup brother?
