OK so far at work, Monday morning, 3 people have asked me what ITMFA is,
even though it's right there to see.

And one person who did read it said they didn't like the F word.
I said to her, "well, it did get your attention didn't it?"
rexateyfor
My buddys a cop and he said displaying the F word may get you pulled over and ticketed.....so much for free speech wall.gif

My manager at work told me to remove the signs.
He was all pissy that someone would complain.

He said next time I wanted to display a sign,
I'd have to get permission from HR.
I told him, "whoa hoss!"
You can tell me that's not allowed on Company Property,
but Nobody tells me what signs I can put in my truck winders.

My Boss is the one who stood toe to toe with me on 9/11,
who used to be a freeping right winger,
who now swears he never was!

Wait, the word Fuck, is illegal?????
Please explain.
MasterMind
It is considered obsene.

I wasn't happy about it, but my job is more important than my protest!

When I travel, or when not at work, the signs are in the windows.
But not at work.
MasterMind
My protest is always more important then some job that I do for someone else, just so I can get paid by their debt someone else owes them. God, I hate captalism, has been brainwashed into thinking they need a job to survive. Why not just work for yourself?
sky of mind
I need my job, what can I say?
I got bills to pay and I like to eat every day. I like having paid days off,
and it's a real bonus to have health insurance these days.

Mostly, I have a kid that need money, and his mom has to make sure I send it every month.
This is just a part of "personal responsibility".

Have no doubt that one can find the balance between personal liberty and freedom, and responsibility.
That's a personal decision we all have to make every day.
Besides, I kinda like my job. It sucks sometimes, but it's got some real nice perks, like I never work nights, or weekends, and twice a month I know and can expect exactly how much I'll get paid. I work indoors, I have some degree of variety in my work. And for the most part I get respect.

So, for me anyway, the smart thing is to be smart, not stubborn. I'll be cool and I'll get away with a lot more shit than if I cause a stink over some signs in my trucks windows. In fact, the signs are back. I just cut off the words that were offensive.
