They claim to have gone 240,000 miles in 1969. However, since 1972 no one has gone more than 400 miles from the Earth. This is a case of the scientists of the world not doing their jobs and otherwise being caught asleep at the wheel. They didnt have the special effects needed back then to hoax it. As for the 400 miles thing, how about the Mars landers? How about the one that just passed saturn?

I've heard people talking about the Moon missions being all hoax even before Armstrong did his stroll.
It's amazing just how actively some actively look for conspiracy!

If there had been a hoax, the Soviets would have exposed it long ago.

Here's what I think:

We did land on the moon, but some of the photos had to be touched up and were done so quite sloppily. Some people even think the film didn't make it through the trip, so they all had to be redone. But there's wayyyyyyyyy too much proof that we were there. I saw an excellent documentary on it and I'm convinced.

I find it remarkable that despite NASA has put a remote controlled rover on Mars, this guy can't believe that men have walked on the moon.

Even Sting did it back in the 70's

There seems to be enough evidence on both arguments to justify this as a reasonable conspiracy theory, and it is funny how the US hasnt gone to the moon since but all of the sudden there have been talks of another mission to the moon from the US&China.

The only reason I think the moon-landing is real is because i watched the documentary on fox.

It was on the Learning Channel or Discovery. Not sure which. And they took the conspiracy theorists' points one by one and examined them. It was very convincing.

Also, during the seventies there was a lowering in the price of green cheese. Why? Becuase they were bringing it back from the moon and flooding the market. It was all a part of the green cheeese cabal that Kennedy was a part of and eventually assassinated by. Everyone knows that.

edit to add: I am also in favor of NASA sending a probe to Uranus.

My college Astronomy professor told us they had to be a hoax because once outside of the Van Allen belts the radiation would at least make the astronauts sick, if not kill them unless they some kind of super high-tech armor on the vessels and suits which he didn't believe existed at the time.

The only reason I question it at all is because we in the 1960's we went from decision-to-go to landing in about 8 years. Now we are talking about going back, but it's going to take longer than that. Today we have FAR more experience in space exploration. We have computers that are exponentially better and smaller. We have a better understanding or rocketry and physics in general. We are 40 years advanced from where we started when Kennedy gave his speech, why is it so much harder to do again today?

I guess the answer to all of that could be fuinding.

Sorry, but it strikes me as both ironic and stupid that someone whose username is "Critical Thinker" would tout the old moonshot hoax bullshit. Surely everybody knows that the little green men who landed in Roswell in 1948 brought us the technology that let us go the moon.

Gone to the moon "since"? Heck, we made 6 TRIPS, to fake 6 trips would be, well, impossible.

I have seen the American flag on the moon from Guilford Colleges obsurvitory. In fact in the guy who rans its prensentation to us, he used it as prove that we went to the moon and all anyone has to do is just look for it. Plus he also said something about a laser targeting system that was placed on the moon that we used to chart how far it stays from the earth at any given time.

Also we do have simple suits that protect against radiation and we have had effictive ones since WWII, long before we went to the moon.

I saw that Doc aswell TJ, it was on the Discovery Channel.

but there's this guy, a very rich guy that offers huge rewards for people who can offer proof for such things as UFO's

I believe he's also a physicist, or some such cause he's quite smart and capable.
Anywhoo, a long time ago he did a show and quite conclusively proved the moon hoax to be false.





Although I would have to say, being able to actually SEE a US flag on the surface of the moon, would be pretty conclusive in it's self.
