What to send and where to send it.
Ronnie Jakers
Thanks for posting robby... I saw this a while back.. and a father started this after his son was in Iraq... and didn't have the supplied. Great organization... and a great opportunity for us, the ordinary citizen to support our troops where they really need it the most!

My wife and I decided instead of giving each other x-mas gifts this year, we would give to charities. I just sent two care packages to a unit stationed in Iraq. One was treats and the other was practical items. I have never bought so much beef jerky or moist towelettes in all my life, but I feel good about it.

Good for you guys! You are really showing the true spirit of Chirstmas.. .it isn't about what WE get... it's about what we GIVE!

It's hard enough for these men and women to be oversea's... especially during the holidays.. but when they don't have the supplies needed... simple supplies! evil.gif

We've been at war for three years! Afganistan and Iraq! Our town in doing a fund drive for one of my old high school friends that has been serving in Afganistan for over a year.... What does he need> toilet paper... wet ones, lotion, energy bars, liquid soap... basic human necesities!

Where the hell is our major corporations... why isn't charmin kicking in like 10 million rolls... for these kids...ohhh yeah, it might affect the bottom line. their economic line!

I believe what these companies are forgetting... is that during WWII Bic made disposable raisers.. tried it out with the troops.. and is how they because number one for all these years. They come back and use what they had been familiar with during the war! rolleyes.gif

Anyway.... glad to here that some soldiers will be happy this christmas by what you and your wife have done!
