Most of us here are adults, so we can laugh even at our conflicts I feel, hence the title, but I must admit it is to draw you here on something serious.
In the latest news briefings (Propaganda filter) from POAC, I came across this article
http://www.alternet.org/story/31884/Personal, I think POAC slipped this in there for us to see. It really opened my eyes to something close to home. I thought about just IMing Sky about it, but I think it can shed some light not only on worldwide conflicts and national conflicts, but on one right here on the forums.
It explains in some detail the feelings behind one side towards the other. SKy and I, agree on many things, so how can we be at odds many times? I feel we bitch about semantics and manners mostly and never really touch base on any thing of worth in our tit for tats. Once you have read that article, you will know exacting where I am going with this.
How do we over come this problem? Is there a right and wrong here? Does that even matter at this point?
When it comes to opinions, there is no right or wrong.
What's right for you is right for you, no matter what I, or anyone else thinks.
Though that doesn't prevent someone from trying to enlighten or change your opinion.
That is in fact, part of what we are about here. That's part of what discussion is.
I say this again MM, I can take issue with what you say, with out taking issue with you.
My taking issue with you personally would be a bit rediculous, because I do not know you personally.
I can though, take issue with things you say in text form. But that's all.
As to personality conflict.
We seem to relate to the world in slightly different ways. We can be saying exactly the same things
but because of the different perspective, we see different things.
If we can agree, or even agree to diagree, time tells all.
Unfortunately, from my perspective, we have been at odds an aweful lot,
and one thing about anamosity, it;s not as easy to remove as it is to build it.
But, time tells all, and I am absolutely not apposed to such an idea.
Now, I think our personal and private discussion has been just about as public as I can stand.
