I was a little surprised at the apparent frustration expressed in our normally laid back forum last night. I also thought that perhaps we could do something collectively that might contribute to our common goals and demonstrate that we're trying to make a difference. I would hope that we all contact our own representatives sometimes, but since we are spread across the country I thought some of us might write a letter to Howard Dean asking two questions: 1.) Why has no Democrat attempted to make the public aware of PNAC and it's agenda? and 2.) Why is the issue of election reform generally and electronic voting machines specifically not being addressed?
The first because it is seminal to all of the outrages that have taken place under the Bush administration, the second because there is little reason to believe things will change otherwise.
Actual letters carry more weight than e-mails (I think I heard this on the Randi Rhode's Show). With this in mind I've written to:
Howard Dean
Democratic National Committee
430 S Capitol St SE
Washington DC 20003
I hope some of you will join me in this. It would be interesting to know if you will and if any of us receive a reply. btw, Randi Rhodes will be on Larry King on Monday, could be interesting.
