All this week in the uk a freeview station titled MORE 4 has been running programs highlighting the iraq war and how much bush and co are fascist morons. Great for me as it may be the sign of the truth becoming more familar.

The first time I ever heard someone admit that American news was censored was from an Englishman. It was weird. I knew it was true, but to hear someone say it out loud and in such a matter-of-fact fashion was unsettling.

I'm in touch with a Brit lady almost every day at Crawford Peace House messageboard> she's always posting links for us from UK news about America. It's great > she's our Voice of America! thumbup.gif It sure is bizarre to be censored in America this day and age.

I've said it here a hundred times, and I'll probably say it one hundred more:

The BBC is the best and greatest news organization on the planet.

Followed closely by Canada's CBC.

Don't watch the MSM in America, it's bad for you.

Actually watch a broadcast news show? Like on ABC, CBS, or NBC? Are you nuts? They are aimed at 6th graders it seems, cause it's just too dumb to sit through. I don't know when the last time I watched one of those was. blink.gif

I watch them!

I want to see what they DO report to see just how much is making it to the mainstream,
and I want to see what the bulk of those who get any news at all are being fed.

Watching the news doesn't educate me about the news,
i get an education about the state of general awareness in America,
and that's very useful for understanding most any debate or issue.

I remember visiting the states once, and actually watching the news there. It was terrible.

In Canada we get CNN, and most of us totally ignore it. CNN = Chicken Noodle News.

You guys need a REAL news program.

I think its a sad state of affairs in the US, when The Daily Show is the closest thing to a real news broadcast taht you have (and it's genius!)
