The most amazing, wonderful thing happened to my very born-again Christian, conservative mother over christmas. We were talking about politics (because I really can't shut up about it), several weeks before Christmas because she had noticed my book about Bill Clinton and she made a remark about what a horrible president he was. To which I replied my usual list of things that I sincerely think he did well. She then said something about how Bush was so much better because she doesn't want to be killed by terrorists. I pointed out that Bush used "terrorists" as a fear/manipulation tool to get what he wanted and we changed the subject (because I never get through to her anyhow)...Anyway, she was over on Christmas and she saw some of the research I've been working on about the Non-profit connections to Repug campaign finance and she tells me that she found out that the whole war in Iraq was orchistrated and basically tells me about PNAC, except she didn't know it to be so defined. So, being the good daughter that I am, I produced a copy of the the PNAC proclaimation that was signed by all of the Bush cronies and she had a fit. She is totally turned around!!!!! She is researching things on her own now and is completely disgusted. I am so proud of her, I can't tell you how much it means to me that my mom has finally figured it out!!!

Horray for enlightenment!
