IS WAL*MART GOOD FOR AMERICA?

People shop at Wal-mart because of the savings. They get excited about only having to stop at one store for everything they need.

Drive by a Target, K-Mart, and a Wal-mart. Wal-mart builds a parking lot 5x the size of the store. Wal-mart always has a 3x as many shoppers as the other two mentioned.

What those bargain hunters fail to realize is when all the K-Marts go under (and they are struggling), and Target goes under, grocery stores have to close because they can no longer compete.......Is Wal-mart still going to be such a bargain?

Wal-mart wants to be the only place anybody needs. When there is no competition there is no need to keep prices low. They can charge $10.00 for a gallon of milk if they want and if you need it, you will have to pay it.

Wal-mart buys in such bulk and strikes up mega "deals" with suppliers other stores just can't compete.

NO! Wal-mart is NOT good for America.

But-but-but....by the time Bush and Wal-Mart get through with us, we'll have a "Bushistution" instead of a Constitution, and he'll be the dictator of the "United States of Wal-Mart."

Does that mean we'll be called "Walmartians" instead of Americans?

Guess so.... tongue.gif

Reducing wages and benefits for all Americans is bad business. Henry Ford knew this when he paid his workers enough to be able to afford the cars they were making. Saving a few bucks by purchasing goods produced by child labor is bad karma.
