Your thoughts?

That's an unfair poll that is deliberately leading.
I would have chosen "neither" but the option was not there.

How is it unfair?

I am making people choose.

I didn't choose.
You failed to give me a viable alternative

That is the entire point of the poll. If I put a "neither" option most people would have just picked that.

communist party>republican party

Why this obsession with Communism? What makes you think it could work here (or anywhere)? When has it worked in the past? One example will suffice.

I find that I wonder whether anyone believes the capitalist system has created a happier, healthier citizenry than did/does communism or socialism (my particular favorite)...

Under a Republican rule, you have a Capitolist Democracy.

Under a Democratic rule, you have a Socialist Democracy.

The second one is my choice.
I want democratic freedoms, and I want my government
to be the machine to balance the social strata
with laws designed to limit the excess's,
while at the same time providing not just the opportuinity,
but the reality of equal liberty, health and prosperity for every citizen.

State provided health care
State provided education to what ever level is desired.
State regulated wages.
Social security for the aged.
Strong, but not excessive national defense.
A national defense that INCLUDES remediation of the issues that CAUSE conflict.
A strong system of law enforcement with a focus on preventing harm,
and not to be used as a tool for social conditioning or social control.

In short, a state regulated Democratic society designed to even out and eliminate the various social strata.
The intention being to eliminate all class war.

Nope.

The poll question isn't satisfactory.
Neither one is acceptable.

Fine, Then which do you find less acceptable than the other?

I would rather have a democratically elected administration, whoever. We don't have one now.

This is a paradox, but if I had to choose an un-democratically non-voted government , I would choose Communism over Republican (because the current Republicans are fascist Neocons and they are mass murdering people with their PNAC agenda). But I would change my mind if the Communists started doing that, but then I couldn't vote them out because they would be a coup too, like the Neocons.

So like I said , it's a paradox blink.gif

You should look at the CPUSA's website.

I would rather have a socialist state.

But not an option.

So I diverted my choice in a protest agianst the OP and voted against his choice.

Not a great poll question, but I think that anybody is better than the Repugs.

I would agree if you said "current Republican Party."

But Republicans, meaning Conservatives in general?
Most conservative Americans are not bad people.
And at least having Republicans in charge,
you can vote them out. (assuming fair and honest elections)

I would have no issue with Communist rule,
as long as they remained a communist party in a Democratic state.
A Democratically elected Communist party wouldn't be any worse than any other party.

What makes America great is it's diversity.
We need BOTH Communists AND Conservatives.
Other wise America would become something else all together!

Your question forces our hand towards communism.

It is a common tactic of political advertisments.

You present a big pile a shit next to your shinny polished pile of whatever.

What choice do we have to pick? This is why a two party democracy will always be "fixed". There should always be three or more major choices. Hell it would be great if there was something like Ten or more major political parties.
