What is the difference between a terrorist and an insurgent, if any?
What are YOUR definitions?

To me one can not truly be a terrorist, unless they are in the act of terrorism.
Insurgents can use the tatic of terror, but still be consider insurgents. Just like any group of people using a tatic of warfare.
The only thing that gets me about our current "terrorist" is that terrorism is not a tatic used to cause people into disaction. The total purpose of terrorism is to cause ACTION in a group of people. The "terrorist" of today would be more effective if they just wait for America to go away.
Reasons I believe the insurgents are not those fighting for the land or brothers of Irag but more the intrests of Bush. I mean, why would a group of people just keep doing exactly what Bush needs them to do to stay in Iraq and keep our troops there.
So at the end, I think they are not compatibale to compare to each other. Like comparing a rebel with a infantry man, just the media has twisted words to mean new things, so people think that someone can be a long standing "terrorist".
