In a News Years Eve shocker it is reported that Vice Presidential assistant R. Scooter Libby has fled the country to an undisclosed location and is asking for political asylum.

He has sold his White House Diaries to the German publication Der Spiegel for an undisclosed amount. Der Spiegel was quoted as saying they would publish the diary as a ten part series but has published excerpts included here,
