We have been at code yellow since a few days after Bush was re-crowned.
Since then HSD has decided to down play the crying wolf, as no one is listening anyway.


The White House however, is Code Red.
For them it's about time to say fuck it, and break out the good booze!

However, the danger from a terrorist attack needs perspective!
How many people die on a car or truck every year?
Maybe we should hunt down and kill, declair war on all cars and trucks?

Actually, having grown up in the 50's in an area rich with potential strategic targets...Fairless steel mill, Thiokol chemical weapons development, Ft. Dix, MacGuire AFB, Philadelphia shipyard/Navy Base and port, Camden oil refineries, Willow Grove Naval Air Station...we were always at code red. Generally we had air raid drills twice a week at school. All of us kids would crawl under our desks and cover our heads and wait for the atomic bombs to fall. Of course, it's not the Russkies anymore. Now it's the ragheads. Still godless foreigners. I guess we Americans have always needed a very identifiable enemy to rally against. Keeps us from looking too closely at what we are actually doing, both here at home and abroad. High stakes sleight of hand. God, are we fuckin' easy or what?

LOL... that little mood ring always makes me laugh. I think its permanently stuck on Yellow or Red. I've never heard it going down into the Green or lower section.
