Hello everybody,

My name is Juliette. I am a stay at home mom who lives north of Seattle. I discovered White Rose Society through bushflash.com (a site I visit frequently).

I come from a long line of democrats. My mother was a Legislative Asst. for a State Representative (D) for seven years and also worked for a Congressman (also a Dem) and our liberal minded Mayor. My grandfather (her father) worked for Congressman Lloyd Meads and then Rep. Al Swift for 16 years as Swift's main caseworker/right hand man and held the same position working for Rep. Rick Larsen during Larsen's first term. I have a picture of my grandfather with a former Supreme Court Justice. He was friends with "Scoop" Jackson and aquainted with both Robert and John Kennedy and former Speakers of the House Tom Foley and Tip O'neil, etc., etc... We (four gnerations of my family live in the same county) are involved at a local level through the City Club, politcal campagns, Boards of Directors, volunteering for Unions, and protesting the war. My dad, for the first forty years of his life, liked and supported both parties until Reagan became President. Since then he has liked the Republican Party less and less every decade. I am fairly moderate; my beliefs a little left of center, and I am definitely a Democrat. My whole family is disgusted by President Bush, his cronies/Administration, and their policies.

I've never been a registered member of a website's forum so I thank you for your patience while reading this; I wasn't really "brief." I hope I followed all the rules/guidelines correctly. I look forward to learning from you guys.

"SNAFU" is a favorite of my best friend and also makes up part of his forum usernames. I was at his house when I discovered White Rose. I asked him to bestow my first username upon me and he chose SNAFU which stands for "Situation normal, all f**ked up" Open to inerpretation!

I am a lifelong resident of Bellingham and my husband is from the Everett/Marysville area. Western Washington is an okay place to be if you are a liberal.
