With its 55 horse power, 3 banger, one liter engin, you get 40mpg city on an automatic and up to 55mpg on a manual. You can drive between 400-500 miles on $30. Plus you can buy them everywhere. Not too bad looking. Reminds me of an old CRX.

Yeah, but is like $30,000. The metro, a 1997 top model, is about $1700.

damn that looks better and has better fuel economy then the pos ford taurs i had to get to get to work and back. it's cheaper too.

i test drove one today. Lets just say it was very intresting to drive. They wanted $1200 for it but we are going to try to talk them down to about $600. There are some things that needed to be fixed on it and there is no way in hell i would pay that much. The model i drove gets about 45 city/50 highway. It would be great to buy if it weren't so damned expensive. Oh well, i will wait and see what happenes. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out.

My humble opinion?

A car is a tool. It's purpose is to transport you from point A to point B.
The less money you spend on the tool, the more you have to spend on the beer!
