And I don't get this infatuation with McCain, totally a media creation. This man hadn't the courage to defend his own family against Roves' attacks in 2000. How do you expect him to defend this country against enemies foreign and DOMESTIC when he won't even defend his own family?

I wouldn't give McCain air if he was in a jug.
How a man can accept what the Bushies did to him, as Dave said, in 2000, and then come back and SUPPORT the lying bastard again in 2004 for the sake of the party is beyond my understanding.
If McCain had any courage whatsoever, he'd have LEFT the Rethugs in 2000 and campaigned for Kerry in 2004. If he didn't like Kerry, then he could've at least kept his mouth shut and not campaigned for Bush, or better yet, he could've told the truth about what the Bushies were trying to do to Kerry just on a matter of principal.
But McCain's got no principals anymore. He left them in Vietnam.
