The thing that I, personally, enjoy most about having absolutely no credibility whatsoever, is that nobody can attack my credibility.
It is only those with at least a shred of credibility to begin with, who can succumb to attacks on their credibility.
If, for the sake of argument, the global population reduction plan happens to be true, it would have to be accomplished through wars, climate change, and through things like biological warfare that the perpetrators could be innoculated against.
But they could even be planning to survive a nuclear holocaust. With sufficient uncontaminated water, a way to provide uncontaminated air, and large food stocks, they could survive for years in a bunker while the rest of the world died. With protective clothing, sodium iodide, and other precautions, they could even come out afterwards. I doubt if they care much about their kids, but with their stolen trillions I guess they could have enough for their kids in the bunkers too. The failure of the biosphere experiment would mean nothing to them, as Biosphere had limited resources and they have unlimited resources.
Going to the extremes of paranoia and conspiracy theory, they could be planning to own an almost unpopulated earth and to repopulate it slowly as various areas became suitable for habitation again. Engineered tsunamis, engineered droughts, and man-made disease epidemics are more likely than a nuclear scenario though.
Not credible, but we are at an overpopulation peak again, a big die-off is biologically certain to occur, and if I know it, the people whose anti-choice policies create these cycles (patriarchal religions and governments) know it too. They cause them, they profit from them, and they wouldn't want things any other way.
I keep thinking about that poor crazy lady who kept telling the police, "They're going to kill the president!" before JFK was assassinated. The only reason she was left alive was because she didn't have any credibility. Her story still doesn't, but JFK was indisputably killed.
I like not having any credibility, and therefore I'm not always very quick to dismiss others with the same survival gene.
