For POAC and RONNIE:

SECRETS OF A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE:

1. "Keep your eyes wide open before marriage and half-shut afterwards." Ben Franklin

2. "Often the difference between a successful marriage and a mediocre one consists of leaving about three or four things a day unsaid." Harlan Miller

3. "Success in marriage is much more than finding the right person. It's more about being the right person." Barnett Robert Brickner

4. "The great secret of a successful marriage is to treat all disasters as incidents and none of the incidents as disasters." Harold Nicholson

AND finally a woman's sage advice:

"Never go to bed mad. Stay up and fight." Phyllis Diller

Happy Anniversary to two good people.

Yep! 15 years with one of the best men in the world.

I was single for five years after my divorce from the first husband, who I never talk about as he was one awful fellow...brilliant, extremely well-educated professional, but with a few loose screws. Thank the gods and goddesses that the two kids we had took more after me than they did him.

LOVED the single life, and wouldn't have ever considered a second marriage except I met my soul mate, just when I was about to move to the coast and begin teaching on a military base... rolleyes.gif tongue.gif

The second time around can be marvelous. Maybe the right one will come along for you, too. It does happen!
