I can't think of one thing I like. Not one.

Nope, not one thing.

Good point. In the 2000 election Bush claimed to be a "Uniter not a divider". He has succeeded in uniting not only us, but most of the world against him.

Who has been honestly suprised by anything he has done since assuming power ?

That he did. The world is united in their fear and revulsion.

Agreed. My 5-month-old grandson has all the advantages in life anyone could ever ask for--many that I never had myself and never will. And I'm still pessimistic about his chances. When the world is this messed up, nobody's safe.

In 2000, he could not name the Prime Minister of Canada. (I could)
In a 2000 interview with Glamour magazine, when asked about the Taliban, he said he wasn't familiar with the band or their lyrics. (I knew who the Taliban was)
He was a C student at Harvard. I have a 3.8 grade average, though I'm not likely to ever finish college at this point.

I love him. He gives me a reason to scream the "fuck" word at my TV, not look crazy

.
He cannot open doors, which is funny. Laughing is good.
He likes to be drunk and deny it, which allows me to do the same

. If its good enough for the Prez, its good enough for me!
He also led me to finding this forum, which is good.
And he looks like a monkey, and monkeys kick ass.

Besides that, without him there would be many editorial cartoonists with severe writers block.

As a teacher, trust me. When teachers hate something, 99% of the time they are right.

I've done teacher gigs too, so I see where you're coming from but -
NCLB holds the school accountable for ALL kids. The local mindset is "the soft bigotry of low expectations". Black kids are dumb, so won't learn, so we won't push them.
Holding the teachers accountable for teaching all the kids is a bit of a revolution in Alabama. Sad but true.
