I love this forum! I'm a moderator on another forum which is primarily liberal. However, there are quite a number of conservatives, too, and there are times when I just get kind of sick of the pro-war, 'moral values,' pro-Bush rantings. So I stumbled across this place quite by accident. I think it will become another fine place to discuss politics and world happenings.

As I mentioned in my initial post, I'm what most would consider way left. I'm anti-war except in cases of self-defense. I'm anti-death penalty, pro-choice, pro-environment, and an avid supporter of gay rights, civil rights and human rights. I'm also totally anti-Bush. I think he is the worst pResident I've seen in my 42 years and, quite honestly, the actions of this entire administration scare the hell out of me. At times I fear what lies ahead for this nation as a result of this administration's actions.

You'll find me doing a lot of lurking at first, as I like to get a feel a forum before I start spouting off too much. But so far, I like what everyone has to say. There doesn't seem to be a lot of trolls here, either, which (being a moderator elsewhere) is sooo refreshing.

Ya know, it's interesting to think of another human being as a snack!

I agree with you about this Forum.
The Forum owner is one very astute, well read and informed individual.
He with his equally brilliant mods do a great job of patrolling the Trolls. Most anyone is allowed here, even right wing conservatives, as long as they stay away from "the talking points" and actually have something to say!
(One might say I was sucking up, and if I were, what'd I win?)

Within this group we don't always see eye to eye either. But we are allowed to have our differances as long as we remain respectful and do not resort to personal attacks.

I have seen and been a part of other forums. The worst are the unregulated sites. Here we have but few rules, and most seem to revolve around a balance between tollerance and respect.


I look forward to seeing how your mind works, and see if I can get past the snack food thing!

Welcome home, Pretzels. I like that name! In fact, a while back, I conducted a campaign called Pretzels for Peace. Sent a box of Snyder's Hard Pretzels to George W. Bush at the White House every week for six months, but alas, no luck.

If he'd had a shred of decency about him...
