Greetings, Everyone.
It's great to have found you. Although I've been collecting "Online Listening" sites for more than a few years now, this is the first that I've come across the WRS.
Here's a bit about me:
Since 1996, I've tended to a web site entitled Morgana's Observatory.
The site began as a repository for: multicultural prophecies (in particular, Native American prophecies), global mythology, controversies, and "hidden history," among other topics.
Since then, I've moved things around a bit in order to accommodate A FEW of the lies and deception of the current US administration
Born in Philadelphia, I've since lived in South Carolina, Germany, Spain, and North Dakota before settling into this rural area of Upstate New York.
I'm married, with three children and two grandchildren.
Gardening, reading, yoga, tough crossword puzzles, writing, and genealogical research are some of my hobbies.
Isn't the Internet truly AWESOME? Every now and then, I think back to what it was like to be a lone wolf, howling at what was going on -- without a pack of like-minded wolves to provide support.
Now, I'll spend some time reading through this forum.

WELCOME MORGANA!Do you ever do cryptic crosswords? They're my favorite--the British type. The one in the back of Harper's magazine is great--I've won subscriptions twice.

Thanks for the welcomes.
Folkie, I don't know about the puzzles in "Harper's" because I don't read that one.

The crossword in "The Nation" is a real brain buster. I have to turn my mind inside out in order to understand the clues for that one. My husband and I are both "word people" (He's an English professor; I'm a copy ediitor). We work on that puzzle together, yet we rarely solve it.
Have you tried that one?
My favorites are the Saturday NY Times puzzles. If I can get that one, I know that my brain is still in good shape. (Don't know how I'd react if I could no long solve it.) I also enjoy the NYT Sunday puzzle, but it's a tad easier than the Saturday, especially since Will Shortz took over.
Thanks for asking. My mind is usually bogged down with serious topics these days. It feels pretty good to talk about small, enjoyable things for a change.

Do you know me, or do you greet all newcomers with such exuberance?
(Thanks for the warm welcome.)

Why did you select me and my welcome?
We (I) just like to start out on friendly terms.
Hopefully it's a good beginning that leads to more!
Do I know you?
It's certainly always possible.
Stranger things do happen.

Morgana, I'm a crossword fan too. How many times can they use
elia?
I love words. Boggle? (Scrabble's too slow.)
