Full Version: Ban Sarasota?

This is the first dissenter I have seen here. I came from another board that used to be good, and then we started letting dissenters in. Over time, more and more dissenters came in, and they totally compromised the board. I'd hate to see something like that happen here. All of us, with the exception of Sarasota, are basically on the same page, especially in regards to George W. Bush. If someone is here just to laugh at us and mock us, as I believe Sarasota has demonstrated with some recent posting, then I say its time for him/her to go. This is not a debate on whether Bush's policies are right or wrong. We know they are wrong. There is no room for a pro-Bush person here.
But, but, but...I think of Sara as my pet chew toy.

watching sara's post get destroyed by the anti-troll brigade is always fun
there isnt anything wrong with allowing dissenters voice their opinions.........but sarasotatroll isnt your run of the mill dissenter that backs up their point of view and engages in healthy dialogue or debate...........sarasotatroll is a troll and thats all he is...........hell i wasnt here five minutes when he hopped on me like white on rice and started following me around calling me names and such...........not that im whining........i love to slap a troll around.........from what ive seen so far sarasotatroll is here for no other purposes than to insult members and attempt to disrupt and derail topics...........every dissenter should have an opportunity to be heard and express their own opinions but when the dissention turns into repetative deliberate disruption attempts i think its time to pull the plug...........the internet is a big place and there is no law that says forums have to tolerate trolls............sarasotatroll has had ample opportunity to participate and the admin and membership has had ample time to evaluate this situation.........i say adios to the asshole..........i know this is just an opinion from a new kid on the block and you can take it for what its worth which aint much but thats what i think...........

a few crashes just like CU has. I've been here through all of them.
I know it may hurt your widdle head but I have agreed with you
guys on some things. Those posts are lost because of the crashes.

No, don't ban her yet...sara comes here when she needs some "stroking," some attention, some mingling with quality folks! 
Of course, after awhile sara starts to smell, so I say give her a little corner where she can play with herself for a short time. She can pretend she's one of us, anyway.
Sara can always be banned...or given a L O N G time out...she knows the consequences of her actions. Meantime, have some fun at sara's expense...kick her ass every chance you get...chew on her, as Panda says!

Get this PWIC off the site. There is nothing wrong with dissenters, but trolling, PWIC motherfers need to be thrown away as soon as they show themselves. They don't contribute anything useful, they waste bandwith with meaningless posts, and they are the napalm to almost all flame wars. He should be banned ASAP. Thank you, good night!

I don't consider myself a major contributor here, but for what it's worth, here is my opinion.

In the nearly two years that I've watched this forum, SR was always respectable when presenting points or sharing opinions. I don't have a problem with dissent or differing opinions. I feel it is imperative that a variety of opinions are shared. This is how we learn. We enable one another to explore all sides of a topic when we share differing opinions.
Lately, I get the impression SR has been posting more for the purpose of stirring up shit, pissing people off, posting more for the reaction than for the purpose of sharing information. Just one recent example: SR insists that it WAS a plane that hit the Pentagon, yet when challenged, not one shred of evidence backing this claim is offered. Not even a response is posted, other than more shit stirring.
When one posts SHIT for the purpose of testing the patience of other visitors to the forum... when it becomes blatantly obvious that the sole purpose of the messages one is posting is just to see how much one can piss off the others, that's when I feel safe to say this person is TROLLING. Like I said, I'm not a major contributor here. Whether or not SR is banned is not my decision to make, but I will certainly not respond to anymore messages posted by this troll until he goes back to posting the interesting and thought provoking messages he was posting in the not so distant past.
I agree that it's childish and pointless, but harmful in the way that it interferes with the exchange of valuable information. And it's always been my understanding that the exchange of valuable information is what this forum is all about.

I haven't been back here for a while. The news I have been posting on here at POAC is all well documented, depending on ones point of view. I'm not going to drag old creds out only to have you guys drag old creds out. That's kinda pointless.
Rooby, you mention the plane that hit the Pentagon. That is OLD. I'm not going to waste my time googling old crap. You either believe it or not. Nothing you post or that I post will change anyone's mind here.
Although I did like it in that post you're referring to that one of your members said it was a 747, not once, but twice.

hold on my friend.......it does do one thing, helps keep us on our toes, and are arguments polished, when we are faced with "real world trolls" that we run into on a daily basis....
Alot comes out when you are watching the exchanges...just like on other discussion boards....those exchanges always load my cannon up with more ammunition to use....people like sara help me more then they hurt....its to our advantage and lets use it that way!
