and what is the value in the twin statements.....
"Walk Your Talk"
and
"Lead By Example"
How do you feel these statements apply to politics,
the democratic party,
and Nov 2006?

There is immense value in doing both of those. People that follow those are definitely admired... unless someone is actively opposed to what they do.

It's self-explanatory. Neither party has done either of those things. The difference is that the Republicans have pushed the media to their side, so they can get away with it. I think that if the Democrats manage to come up with enough candidates that can not only talk big but do big, then they have a legitimate shot at taking back the Senate.
People are growing increasingly disgusted with Republican policies. It's the Democrats' job to not only call them on it, but offer some realistic, practical ideas to help solve those problems, and then do their best to follow through.
Ditch being the party of pussies as well. We as liberals get extremely disgusted with Democrats because of the amount of empty posturing that goes on in Congress.
In short, the Democrats can win by doing what they say, saying what they mean, coming up with effective solutions, and touting these solutions to regain the moderate base back.
