Martial law coming to a city near you.
Grimaldi
Here's a tough situation. You've got a person speeding, but she refuses to acknowledge receipt of the ticket through a simple signature, despite your explanation that it is not a statement of guilt. Depending on the law/policies of the city, that may very well be grounds for arrest. Now, you have a person who will not exit her vehicle open a lawful order from a uniformed officer. Another officer and a patrol supervisor come and explain the situation, the person still refuses to comply in any way. What do you do?

You can't just let her go. She's broken at least two laws, and letting her go sets a bad precedent for future situations. You don't want to physically remove her with your hands and/or batons, because they can cause serious injury to the woman and the officers if a struggle ensues. You can't just sit around and wait all day.

The headline "Police Tazer Pregnant Woman" certainly looks bad, but it seems the police took every effort to make this woman understand she just needed to acknowledge receipt of her speeding ticket or face arrest. She chose to not cooperate and forced the officers' hands. The Tazer system worked exactly as expected, producing painful welts where applied but no permanent or severe damage, protecting the officers and woman from a potentially more serious situation.

Cant let her go, hell weve got illegal aliens crossing the border and Bush jsut gave them free healthcare no questions asked even thought they admit guilt to the hospital administration that they are breaking the law by being in this country illegally but were electrocuting pregnent women.

To bad this wasnt in a state which prosecuted people for harmin a fetus.

Have they replaced hand to hand combat and restraining techniques with How to Fry Women & Children 101????
