At least the conservatives didn't win. The Labor Party is liberal in American standards. In reality; we won in England.

I get your point, but still, I can't help but feel we will lose one of the biggest benifits of democracy because they won.

ACCOUNTABILITY!!

Now back in power, he has all the influence he needs to pick and choose his point of departure, and all the PR resources to time his leaving to a T.
He also has the continued luxury of the best damage limitation money can buy. Had he not become PM again, the whole government wouldn't feel the same sense of obligation to see he is protected from attack. Now, it's in their intrest to see nothing come of any accusations against him.

We, Morfos, did not win, Blair did and one of the corner stones of democracy, accountability, lost. There is a sure and undenieable planning going on right now, to soften the people's perception of "accountability"
The media are no doubt playing to this, as talk of him resigning makes good news, but they are participating in helping Blair, by leading people to the conclusion that Blair resigning is the accountability that counts.

It isn't, he should be made to tell all that led us to war, or face a full public enqiury,
led by someone he doesn't choose.
