So, Palin's daughter is pregnant.
I guess having a 17 year old unwed daughter fits into the NEW GOP creationist, abstinence only educational paradigm? Personally, I could care less but isn't this the sort of thing that might turn off that rabid, religious, right-wing base?

Yep. I could care less if Larry Craig has all the gay sex he wants, if Rush Limbaugh wants to get high as a kite off drugs, or Sarah Palin has a pregnant teenage daughter. It doesn't make any of those people bad in my book (they are bad for other reasons), but it does make them hypocrites.

Those fundies would have voted for McCain anyway. And even though they're more awake now, no net gain.
It's the fence setters that are important, again, and I don't think those people are terribly impressed.
