I think it will cause a short term buzz but damage him in the long run.

The lady once came in as runner up for Miss Alaska!
His current wife is an ex rodeo queen.
The man is skirt chasing! He wanted eye candy in the oval office with him.
The fact that she's already under investigation is so perfectly Republican,
and that's exactly what voters DO NOT want!

The Obama crew is gonna have a real hard time trying to not be too harsh with this!

It seems like a lot people in the media are sitting there thinking "this is such a out of the blue choice that McCain has to have something up his sleeve." As if the choice is so seemingly bad on the surface that he must have a brilliant plan because no one would do something this stupid but i think this is just a total f*ck up. I don't think McCain has a plan, i just think he wanted to blunt Obama's speech. As many (real) experts have noted, there really aren't that many undecided clinton supporters out there anymore and the choice of a hardcore conservative is not the way to win over democratic women. I really think there is no brilliant strategy behind this choice, just a really bad McCain f*ck up.

It seems as though, along with defending Sarah Palin, various members of teh GOP are also looking for and talking excuses.

My question right now is, will she even be formally nominated?

Probably, since it is going to happen tomorrow (i think). Unless she drops out in the next 30 hours, i think she is on the ticket. Of course she could drop out after but i think she will at least be nominated.

"PALIN A SERIOUS LIABILITY FOR MCCAIN"

and he continues to send her our to do her thing.

I been wondering for a while now if for some reason McCain was/is actually trying to lose?
I mean think about it.

The country has some really serious big piles of Bush crap to deal with and who ever is the next president gets to pick it all up, without tissue! Ain't no way that can happen without someone gettin dirty.
