I was not sure where to put this. There is a Dollar Tree nearby that my wife likes to go to pick up school supplies for her classroom. I went with her and saw an endcap with several books including Conservatives Without Conscience, by John Dean which I am reading now. Fascinating book on the hypocrisy and compartmentalization of today's "conservative" movement. It also discusses how authoritarian conservatism has replaced traditional conservatism. A worthy read for $1. If there is a Dollar Tree near you hop in and see if they have this book.
I also picked up American Theocracy: The Peril and Politics of Radical Religion, Oil, and Borrowed Money in the 21st Century by Kevin Phillips there as well for $1.
I did see both books in the bargain section at Barnes & Noble yesterday for 4.99 I believe. Also, I have read the books Worse Than Waterdate (Dean) and American Dynasty (Phillips) in the past. Good reads.
