Today is primary day once again in Virginia. This time we select representatives from each party to run for the House seats in each district. Since the primaries are open (pick your party when you show up to vote), it affords us the extra freedom of voting for a presidential candidate in one party and a congressman in another.
My choices were:
* Frank Wolf (R, incumbent of many terms)
* another Repug who doesn't think Wolf is tough enough on immigrants
* Judy Feder, big-business dem
* Mike Turner, retired AF Col and progressive dem
I looked at Feder's and Turner's issues pages on each website. Feder seems pretty pork-oriented (solve our local road problems at the federal level), while Turner talks about global warming and dependence on oil. I voted for the lesser-funded of the 2. (Less funding = less corrupt)
