For all the crappy parts of working in education, the lousy pay, the belligerent teenagers, the pushy parents, and the over politicized school board, there is one fun little bonus. I get 2 months out of the year off! And if I teach summer school they pay me almost double what I normally make (though I'm not this year, I need the vacation).
From this week until August I'm going to be a shiftless layabout, and I'm going to love it.

I get a week off in July, a week off in August, a week off in September and a week off in October.
Plus a bonus week off at Christmas.
Gotta enjoy lifes little perks. These are the things that make it worth while!
