Topic says it all. Media heads are sounding off left and right that it would help heal the wounds in the Democratic Party, but many that I've talked to have said it would undermine Obama's credibility and image, and potentially undermine his governance when he took office.

So would it ultimately do more harm or more good for our chances in November?

I think such a union would help the Democratic party, while at the same time undermine Obama's potential.
Personally, I'd like to see Obama and Clinton come together, and come up with a better alternative.

So I voted that yes it would help the Democrats.
Unfortunately this poll doesn't ask if such a union would help Mr. Obama.

thumbup.gif I like the idea of the ticket, have always thought that they would compliment the Party Ticket and unify at least in the media's eye, the only thing that would be a problem I think is Hillary's abrasive image that a lot of folks have of her, but then again isn't that we want to confront the Republicans come November. She would be wonderful as an attack dog that if set loose would create a firestorm against the spin doctors of the RIGHT!! Now if Barack, would pick the folowing people for his Cabinet and have them on board before the elections and let the people know they would be his Cabinet members, it would create a tidalwave of support.

Richarsons-Sec. of State
Conyers- Sec. of Defence
Edwards- Sec. of Health
Bill Clinton- Attorney General
Hegel- Sec of Commerce
Dean-Surgeon General
Webb- Sec of Homeland Security
Boxer- Sec. of Treasury

Sure, some of these folks may not be perfect, but the whole idea is to have as many folks in front of Obama as possible and have them all work for his election. It would be a first for a potential president to let the American people see what type of government would be in store for them, if elected, and it drive both the media and the GOP crazy trying to track all these folks on the campaign trail!

Slick Willy as AG? I think he'd have to be press secretary, having reporters look up "is" in the dictionary before going to print, Edwards would take his place as AG. Wouldn't Hagel have to change parties? What gives Boxer the position of Tresury Sec?

Dean seems more of a surgeon of political mistakes than tumors, And I have to go for Kucinich as Sec. of state, but then again, I'd rather have him at the top of the ticket - Richardson would make a good UN ambassador. So would Biden.

We played the "dream team ticket" game a year or so ago, but now that its pretty obvious who the main candidate is, it might be worth starting a new thread.

But you probably only talk to people like us. There's a whole other demographic out there that we need and might only be gotten by putting her on the ticket. I voted that it will help. Sue me.

I won't sue you.

1. you got no money
2. I agree with you
3. we do tend to see the world through the lens of our own singular perspective. Those things on the fringe of our view tend to become blurred and distorted.
