Full Version: U.S. Gas Consumption Down For First Time Since 1991

I found this to be a little interesting. U.S. gas consumption so far this year is down 0.2% from last year and that it may be down by nearly half a percent for the year. Doesn't sound too impressive but that will be nearly 43 million fewer gallons consumed this year compared to last year if it remains at 0.2% and 86 million fewer if it reaches 0.4% as expected. Also this is the first time in the last 17 years that gas consumption has actually decreased. All of this isn't fantastic but it is something.

Clearly this is better than the continued increase in consumption!
As prices continue to go up, the decrease should continue.
