lookslike you're beginning to believe in the "vast infotainment "big science" corporatocracy" conspiracy... look how much evidence you've uncovered! wink.gif

I was paid by "Big Science" to do that few minutes of research to debunk the whole damn "peer reviewed" study.

hey, they must have tendrils all through society... they knew exactly who to go to - someone who's will could be easily broken with a payoff, and who could debunk a junk science "review" in a matter of minutes. Devious bastards!

I was really looking forward to hearing how addressing global warming would hurt our economy. With examples. Considering that switching from importing coal to creating geothermal energy in Iceland and harnessing solar energy in Germany has created a huge boon for their respective economies and through the introduction of windfarms here in Iowa we actually created a surplus of energy for export over our borders; I'm just dying to hear how that switch from coal hurt our economies.

pwnd. Thread over.

TJ as usual, has the complete facts and has placed them front and center.
Unfortunately the subject will choose to deny these clear and obvious truths.
That's the ONLY way he could possibly have gotten where his opinion is now.

Denial, by those who do it, is as much a way of life as church is.

This Captain wanna be won't be persuaded by even the most compelling logic.
He knows quite well how to rationalize anything.

If today aliens were to land and reveal them selves, people like this would be a universal embarrassment to our species.

Now let's be fair. Cap'n could very well come back and say "Wow. I didn't know that about them. Thanks!" All of us have been mislead by another source at one time or another. Hopefully he won't be mad at us and will instead be mad at the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine and the person who convinced him that they were credible. Or he's paid to propagate this stuf and will just continue on like nothing happened and we'll have to ban him.

his change from "this is the real science" to "these are my personal expiriences" to flailing those things that lead to his urge to post without backing seem like a cry for help. I hope he returns, knowing that we won't treat him like crap for coming around to reality.

He could become a good friend and valued member. We've got a member here who was a big time self-described neocon.

That would be nice. Certainly it would be a welcome change to see someone like this learning from us.
If he comes back and expresses dismay that he has, until now, been mislead by the flat-earthers, I will dub him Captain Sensible, and mean it! thumbup.gif biggrin.gif
What'd ya say Cappie? You with us? smile.gif

We also have one that's proclaimed meny times that he's a full on southern conservative,
and further claims to be open minded and as such, as learned that liberals aren't always stupid.

Even so, just because I like that guy doesn't mean I let him go on his doo doo.

Oh well. I guess we'll never know if he was misinformed or trying to misinform us.

If you can't find a quote by Gore about global warming that sounds crazy enough, just create your own!

Right-wing echo chamber promotes doctored and deceptive audio clip of Al Gore.
