It's so quiet in here lately! Is there nothing to discuss or are people just off doing other things?

Or, is it Sky? eek.gif It's the smell isn't it? unsure.gif
Sky, I warned you this would happen if you didn't change your deodorant! dry.gif

*snicker, snicker* Sorry Sky! Just Playing! laugh.gif

Very, very busy. But I'm still around, from time to time ... thumbup.gif

Slow downs happen from time to time.

Myself, I generally avoid most computer games because they suck up so much time. Start playing and next thing ya know it's 4 am. Well, a friend at work got me started with an on line game that's been around for a while and is still very popular. I've been cyber running my arse off filling quests and killing the big bad monsters.

Also been busy playing with my Gold Wing. It's still naked without all it's plastic covering. Since it's still way too cold and wet, I'm taking my time with it.

Then there's the delegate for Obama stuff.

And then I've been fairly quiet just to see what would happen. Curiosity quest!

slow news period...
doesn't mean that there's nothing worth knowing about going on, just that no one knows about it yet.

Personally, my teeth have been hatching infections, leading to fevers or abcesses recently (gotta love US healthcare!) so I haven't been doggedly following leads, I've been sleeping off fevers.

Plus, spring has sprung (in a lot of places anyay,) and after the long, drawn out plague of cabin fever, people are getting away from the emf's of their computers, except for sky, who's playing computer games ( tongue.gif ).

all in all, we'll bomb somone soon, or some politician wil do something stupid, and the carousel will spin again at break-neck velocity - have no fear!

You are so dang lazy. wink.gif You should take pictures of the progress and post them here. BTW, I'm wildly jealous. The only thing I'd love more than doing those things is having the skills to do them.

Don't let a perceived lack of skill prevent you!
I don't know how to do those things, but I do them anyway! Sometimes twice too! (redo)
Sometimes the only way to learn how is to do it. And sometimes doing it is all you need to know how!
karen
Sky's right. That's how learned most of what I know, and tips 'n tricks are easy to pick up as you go.

So, here I am in my sisters. She made me sleep on the couch so I'd be up an' at 'em this morning. eek.gif There's NOTHING for breakfast and no milk for the coffee. cry.gif I've sent her the shops! (That's scouse for 'to the store'.) smile.gif
The floor is down. Sue and I had it down in a few hours. cool.gif (I'll see If I can find my nieces camera so you can see how pretty it is! wink.gif) - Easiest job in the world TJ. If you can use a jigsaw you can lay laminate flooring.
Waiting on my brother in law, who's at work, to bring me some plaster-board for the stud wall of the downstairs loo. He's already dug the footings for the conservsatory, which are, as we speak, filling with water. rolleyes.gif The word I'm looking for is chaos! blink.gif

There's my sis back from the shops! Gub's up!

I'm flat out going backwards fast..... blink.gif

I drop in when I can, but between working and sleeping, and moving around, it's a tough one !

I waste..er, spend my meager internet time electronically beating my head against the Wall of Stoopid over on the internut at 'Topix'.

Please don't ask how I ended up there, or why I'm drawn back like a fly to sh*t... redface.gif

Glad to see everyone is well, and TJ, great visuals. Love the windmills. You rock !

The article is coming along slowly...... redface.gif redface.gif

Update: The conservatory's not going to be there till the end of next week at least, so that's on hold. - Looking forward to that one as it'll be a learning curve for me. I'll take pic's TJ!
No plaster-board resulted in me looking after the baby (who's almost three!) while her mum cleaned up the house, then coming home to sleep! sleep.gif
I'm lost as to what's happening with the downstairs toilet - they know where I am if they want me, but they better have the materials there or I'm not playing. wry2.gif

Well, it was over that article about the Vermont town of Brattleboro that were voting whether or not to impeach the chimp and Cheney.
I love symbolic gestures that are courageous like this, and our local media carried the article, which tickled a lot of French people, who still like the idea of being able to call their leaders out for being coniving swine, so I wrote in to the "Brattleboro Forum", which was hosted on the Topix site, which I'd never heard of.

Well, my gentle praise and encouragement were like a red flag to the bull, and boy, did the neoconned trolls spew out of the woodwork !

Strangely, the rather perverse and obscure side of me leapt at the chance to be brutal, violent and viciously truthful to these simpering neocon slime. I'm frankly embarrassed, because I never thought I'd enjoy myself so much (am I really ?) calling people morons and then pointing out why they are.

I still don't understand really Topix. There seem to be some good people in there, but there is so much clutter and noise, and I don't think I've ever seen such raw hate, such bigotry, such crushing ignorance or such devastating stupidity, and I've seen a fair bit over the last 9 years.

Coming back here to you wonderful people is like slipping into a soothing bath of deliciously warm, scented water, with the incense coiling around the flickering candles, and John Coltrane blowing the air around. cool.gif

Have any of you ever been submerged by the swamp of Topix ? unsure.gif

topix.com, I assume. I checked it out. Didn't care too much for the format, but I'm prejudiced.
Rousseau
Yeah, that's it.
I'm "Pierre France", and you'll find me flinging banana skins under the war-machines ardent supporters wheels in the "Iraq" forum, and places like that...

It's kind of head-banging for people who actually have far better things to be doing... redface.gif
