Here is something i need to ask every now and then, why does this guy have a show? The guy should be in an asylum, not on tv. I think any normal people could see the guy is totally bat sh*t. Most right wing commentators are crazy but they aren't glen beck crazy. Who actually watches that show and takes it seriously?

I have no idea what show you're talking about (never heard it), but it sounds like the political opinion version of professional wrestling.

But the simple answer is that it's apparently turning a profit. Otherwise it wouldn't be on.

Which in and of itself is mind boggeling. I can understand that people have different political views and that conseritivly slanted programs will appeal to some but Glen Beck? That isn't even conservativism, it is just a nut job spouting of paranoid nonsense, who's target just happens to be liberals. He says some very bizzare and controversial things, often he just flat out lies. His presence on tv begs two questions:

1. What normal person could watch that show?

2. How could the people running CNN keep it on and not feel embaressment or guilt? Shouldn't they put on responsiable commentators?

The issue isn’t “why does cnn have a conservative opinion program” but “why Glen Beck?”

Because to try and compete with the likes of O'Reilly they had to find their own twit. (And he's a Mormon wall.gif )
Jimmy
CNN had to give him a show to balance out the all liberal bias from the likes of Lou Dobbs. blink.gif
