..., newbie though I am, I do have an idea about the way the little boxes of content show up on the screen.
I'm thinking ... smaller avatars, and less content in the little avatar box ... might generate some fun exchanges, from to time of course.

In order to keep up with the latest and greatest versions if the forum software, we have to keep customizations to a minimum. You might want to try out the different skins or the settings under "my controls". There you can determine if you want to see avatars, signatures, etc.
