But you fdorgot several very good programs.

Axmen

Boot
I always liked Mythbusters.

axmen hasn't even run its first episode yet, has it?

I agree here, though:

The Universe

spectacular stuff.

Even if I was a kid still taking hallucinogens, I'd love that show.

First episode was Sunday evening.

I don't know any of the shows you've listed.
I'm usually a C-SPAN and "news" junkie.

My faves from cable...the first two quite political:
Deadwood
Rome
Six Feet Under
Dexter

Dexter is being run on CBS now and it's being seriously ruined by the editing.
Seasons one and two are available on DVD...much better than watching it being destroyed by censors.
Omegabob
No Heroes?

I can get behind The Universe though, good stuff.

In no particular order...

Attack of the Show - I'm a total gadget geek

Ninja Warrior

Mythbusters

Universe - or any of those History Channel shows about space stuff.

Southpark - but now that I know that Matt and Trey are Libertarians I look for the slant in every episode (most of them it's pretty obvious) and it ruins it for me.

I like Dogfights when I catch it, but I only last about 10 minutes then I get the bug and load up a flight sim type video game.

I really dont' watch any of them religiously though. They're usually just on in the background as I do other things.

ninja warrior is american gladiators without the roid raving testosterone freaks...
what it always should have been... except that its asian. no offense, but if those people who had no better option than joining the miilitary get notoriety through tv, then its ok with me.

I wonder about mastermind these days....

I also remind those that don't remember that the writer's strike is over, and you're no longer a scab for watching the daily show and the clobert report.

edit to add;
Keith Olberman is on cable too.

Jack: MXC is great. All those ghost shows are laughable.

Boot: I love mythbusters. One of the best shows around.

Panda: I love those hbo/showtime shows. Dexter and SFU are GREAT! Ive seen all the episodes of both. We have netflix marathons around here. Ever see oz? I think youd like that.

My favs are usually on BBC, discovery or national geographic. I like the documentaries.

Nova is one of the best ever along with cosmos.

And Project Runway is a weekly watcher for me. We went on our own project runway tour this week in NYC.

I also love good eats and unwrapped!

Nova is the only show I actually would adjust my schedule to watch. And best of all, it's free.

True that,
However, history and discovery have some shows worth paying for.
