A person who works for bill foster, the democrat running for denis hastert's open seat, gave me a flyer today. It said that i could get paid to go around the city where NIU is and hang pamphlets on people's doors on election day (March 8th), reminding them to go vote. Has anyone ever done this? I like the candidate, so i don't mind spending all day doing this but would it be god awful or would i get ripped off or something?

I've done it. Never got paid for it. Didn't feel like I was being ripped off. Most important thing is not to argue when somebody yells at you. Just say something like "well, if that's your opinion, I encourage you to go to the polls and vote for your candidate." Then walk away.

I'll be fine. I'm a pretty big guy. Not many people would get into my face and start yelling. Then again, if i am caught beating up voters, they might not pay me.
