The Electoral Map ... forget red versus blue, Hillary or Obama will make it anew!

We need to turn the black & white states rainbow this election! Obama or Hillary will make it happen! (Just the fact that we will have our first female or first African-American president means we truly are becoming a rainbow nation!)

Christian fundamentalist values in Nevada? laugh.gif
Libertas
Yeah, I'm not sure I would include Nevada, Florida, or even Ohio as "black and white" on this map simply because they were red states in the last 2 elections.

Rainbow Country

by Bob Marley

Hey Mr Music
sure feels good to me
and I can't refuse it
what to be got to be
feel like dancing
dance cause we are free
I've got my home
in the promised land
and I feel like home
I want you to understand

Though the road is rocky
sure feels good to me
and if we're lucky
together we'll always be

Highway riding
Zion rising
Zion rising
the moon is rising

Though the road is rocky
sure feels good to me
and if we're lucky
together we'll always be

Highway riding
Zion is rising
Zion is rising
the moon is rising

Rainbow Country
Rainbow Country
Rainbow Country

It's a Rainbow Country

Just pointing out that electing a woman (or presumably a black) doesn't absolutely guarantee a progressive rainbow from sea to shining sea.

Britain has a history of hyper-conservative women at the helm. Elizabeth. Victoria. Baroness Margaret. All admirable people, but hardly the darlings of the left.

Spot on Jubal. And when we did elect a darling of the left (Tony Blair wall.gif ) it turned out he wasn't.

Sen. Russ Feingold's Progressive Patriots

The Progressive Patriots Fund is dedicated to promoting a progressive reform agenda and supporting candidates across the country.

This organization enables us to be a part of a larger national effort to build the Democratic Party throughout America. We are able to travel across the country, listen to others, speak out on important issues and advance a progressive reform agenda.

The challenges far too many Americans face every day did not go away with the past election. I will continue to give voice to those who believe we must work to provide health care for all Americans, protect and create jobs, ensure fiscal responsibility, and fight terrorism while also protecting our freedoms.

In both so-called red and blue states, people’s voices need to be heard. That is why we intend to help continue a dialogue about how we move forward as a country united by the values we share and the challenges we face together.

BEST HOPE FOR REVIVING DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN ALL 50 STATES!

Yesterday we saw the first true shots fired in the general election. John McCain fired across the bow of Barack Obama and missed. Barack however, fired a broadsides back at him and in my humble opinion "sunk his battleship". I bet at this moment (since i am writing this at 5am) Sen. McCain is sleeping fitfully, while his handlers and republican politicos are having horrid nightmares about the Honorable Senator Barack Obama.

This is exactly why i support Barack Hussein Obama! He is not only a messenger of Hope, but also a messenger of Truth. Who among us recalls the last few elections? Elections in which we had our candidates, stalwart defenders of the faith all, drilled and grilled over foreign policy? This has been a stumbling block for us on the national level. Sure our candidates have been excellent men, with impecable records, but they have lacked the scrappyness that Barack has displayed thusfar when targeting our opponents across the asile.

This is our time, our year, and our best hope for reviving the Democratic party in all Fifty States.

The cresendo of the tsunami of a movement started for the people, by the people, and of the people would be felt round the world, just as that great shot that heard round the world. This Sen. Obama understands all to well. Throughout the TWENTY debates one thing is clear - this man knows his stuff.
