Always amazes me that people think that Texas is a large, backward, led by the nose assortment of mobilehome dwellers. You would be hard pressed to find more independant thinkers than I have seen in Texas. No, they dont buy in to just everything free thinking enlightened people do....but they do listen, they do watch and they do understand what Bush has done and is doing. Both sides of it. You would have a hard time finding a more diverse culture, more free thinkers, more education, more refinement, and more faith than Texas. Most are pretty harsh on their opinions of Texas, the people, and what is here. Like some of our recent additions from that other site. Look down the nose with contempt type attitude. But being one who has been in all states except one, and over 30 countries....Im pretty good at separating the wheat from the chaff, and the bullshitters from the no shitters.
Rou, I know your just poking in fun....I take no offense....but if you knew Texas the way I do....your shock wouldnt be so much as an eye raised.

One of the wisest people I know comes from Texas, and so does one of the stupidest!
My brother was out there (in Huston) for about 8 months a couple of years ago. - Hated it!
Well, OK, he didn't mind the short stint he had in San Antonio...

Truth be told, there are parts of Texas I wouldn't mind living in.
