One of the things I feared the most about the election, even though the chances of this occurring were very small, was Rudy Giuliani actually president. However, events of the past few weeks have alleviated those fears. First there was his highly risky strategy of waiting until Florida to start competing. Then his poor showings in Iowa and New Hampshire. After that, his fall from the top position in the national polls. Now, Giuliani appears to be in financial trouble, since he is no longer paying his staffers. Truly another sign that the campaign is not as healthy as it once was.
