I try not to think too much for myself, so i am going to need someone here to tell me how to feel about Bloomberg. And GO!
Bloomberg Moves Closer To Independent Presidential BidHe's been a much better mayor than rudy was, he's been really inventive in regards to education, and his candidacy is spawned by a bipartisan group that claims that it was formed to reduce ultra-partisan obstructionism. However, he is a republican, and he's insanely rich, both of which lead me to believe he's really out of touch with mainstream america. personally I'd like to see him run, because i think his new party would be one that would give a third party validity, and it would likely take votes from republicans rather than democrats, leaving only he morons that still support bush to vote for the red candidate. However, If it ends up being clinton as the nominee, I belive we'll have the closest three way presidential race in a LOOOOOOONG time.
Whether i will vote for him remains to be seen. i have no idea what his policies would be nationally, and that's important, because as much as NYers would like to think so, NY is not the entire country. The saying is 'If you make it there, you'll make it anywhere" but as a nyer that's traveled and lived all over the country, you can't make it most places if you act the same way you did in the city.
edit to add:
The one thing I'm pretty sure of: he does what he says he will - the campaigns that he's run were not full f empty promises, he's gone on to figure out a way to make progress on almost everything he set out to do, be they good or bad.
