65 degrees out yesterday and nearly 70 today. This is just North of Chicago...in January. Normally your balls would be covered in a thin layer of ice right now. Instead, anyone can go outside in a t-shirt, maybe some shorts and would be just dandy.

Global warming is a bad term for whats happening, as some of the ice melts it dumps cold water into the Atlantic and will actually cause some northern areas to become colder on average (which doubters like to point out, but they miss the point). As a whole the globe is warming, but on a local scale it often will be that the extremes get more extreme.

Climate change is a much better term.

High 70's here in Louisville - at least that's what the thermometer on my car's dash says. Feels like it anyway.

A bit cloudy but otherwise a beautiful mid-May afternoon - just a few month early.

I think Jack and I are in pretty much the same weather patterns. That's how it is here, too. Has been for days.

We had tornado warnings today. I didn't realize it was the end of May.

Yeah, areas around Chicago got nailed. All the way down into Springfield, Missouri. Reaping what we sow.

It was the areas that get pummeled on a yearly basis in the spring. Where i live is very calm most of the time but the areas west and north me get hit hard all the time Although not usually in early January. I'm just waiting for the snow to come back. This kind of weather, although warm, is very gray and depressing. All of the plants are dead and the sun never shines when it is this warm in the winter. Bring back the snow and the frigid temperatures, at least the sun will be out. Get rid of this warm weather until we can actually have ones that aren't so weird and unnatural.

I'd just get used to it and expect more of the same, but worse. The weather anomalies haven't caught up with the CO2 levels and won't for many years.

Driest year here in the South of France since the last 50 years, 600 mm of rainfall instead of the 750 which was the previous recorded low in 1985. Daily temperature swings between -2 to 12° C. Completely screwed up.

Good to see McCain slowly waking up. There was me thinking he was just a staid, retroactive, reactionary, brainwashed gook freeper-nut........oh. Photoshop...... blink.gif
